— Noah, there you are! I've been looking everywhere for you.

Casca freezes in place, jumping out from behind the trees toward the small lake where Hawk Squad has stopped. Noah stands waist-deep in water, near the high bank, methodically pulling the bandages off his chest. HER chest, because without the support of the fabric, a very feminine fullness becomes visible.

— Wait... Are you a WO-

— Quiet! — Noah manages to jump up on the bank with one knee to cover her battle companion's mouth with her hand. — Don't yell like that!

Noah pushes her still-wet hair from her face and throws her head back. Casca watches HER silently, perched next to her on a piece of driftwood.

— You're the first, — Noah smirks slightly, looking down at her.

— What 'you're the first'?

— You're the first in the squad to know my little secret. How ironic that it's you, a woman.

— You speak as if you're not a woman yourself! Why hide it? You should have realized by now that we have no prejudices here.

ANEMONE

✦ The flower most associated with lies is the anemone, also known as the "windflower." This plant derives its symbolic significance from the ancient Greek myth of the goddess Flora and Zephyr. According to legend, the anemone grew from the tears of a nymph who was deceived by her lover. Interestingly, the anemone does have a natural peculiarity: its petals quickly close at the slightest breath of wind, as if hiding the truth from prying eyes.
