JOHNNY AND DERBY HEADCANONS

Ok so, 100% these two would only ever get together AFTER the main plot. No way in hell do I see it before

These two don’t exactly fit the enemies to lovers niche exactly it’s more like..enemies to rivals to I guess I’ll put up with you to your my annoying friend I low-key kinda hate to nvm your kinda cool to I would actually kill someone for you

People who didn’t know them before, would probably think their pulling the greatest prank ever on Bullworth but no they actually are serious

After they got together I feel like even though their leaders were literally DATING, the preps and the greasers still low-key hated eachother- as long as Johnny and Derby weren’t around

They came around though eventually

The two of them are both kinda uncover still and not at same time, mostly because I believe Derby’s family is EXTREMELY CONSERVATIVE and would not approve of them at all- especially since Johnny was lower class

Johnny is such a sucker. Whatever you’re thinking, it’s worse so so much worse. I’m talking Johnny will STOP EVERYTHING if he hears Derby wants to hang out. He could be working on a car and Derby could call out to him and he’d drop everything and go hang out with him for the whole day

Also Johnny is a hopeless romantic. That’s all I have to say. I’m talking all the cheesy moves like the pretend yawn at the movies and putting your arm around your date

Derby won’t admit it but he absolutely loves this

Miss Danvers, who HATES Johnny because he kept making out with Lola in the hallways, thought maybe she’d finally stop having to call him up for detention. The answer is no, absolutely not

They’re in the office all the time for either: being that one couple in the hallway, fighting someone, being a dick to someone, skipping or setting fire to something anything like that.

HOW DID THEY GET TOGETHER

Ok first off, when they realise how absolutely head over heels they are, they are an absolute MESS like I’m talking stuttering when they talk to eachother kinda mess

Johnny I feel probably made moves first, because in my eyes he has more romantic experience than Derby

I feel like it would take SO LONG for them to admit they like eachother, for a whole mixture of reasons; not wanting to ruin a friendship, internalised homophobia all that drama

They’d probably have an argument, asking eachother what’s wrong with the other one, what changed. They’d admit how scared they were of losing someone else they care about, then how they feel

Johnny would kiss Derby first, but Derby would kiss right back.

After, they’d be behind closed doors for AGES, then eventually deciding “hey we probably shouldn’t keep this hidden forever”

Some people weren’t too surprised (Edgar lol)

Also Lola and Johnny, at first they had a rocky break up (good thing Johnny had Derby and Lola had Pinky 😏 hehe) but eventually they’d make up and remain friends
