So Danny got summoned by a cult the JL failed to stop. Problem, he's a little too hungry to care
I had 2 ideas for this so you can choose which one you want.
Danny had forgotten to eat for like 24 hours when doing ghost king shit, so when he finally got some food and felt himself being pulled into a summoning he decided that whoever it was could deal with him eating, so he grabbed his plate and kept eating. To say the cult and JL were expecting to see a massive eldritch king of ghosts and space sitting cross-legged like a teenager and eating (insert the most random food you wouldn't expect a regal king to eat) would be a lie.
Danny, with food in his mouth: You're the ones who summoned me while I was in the middle of eating, so you get to deal with it.
OR
Danny had forgotten he needed food, again, but just as he was about to sit down to start eating he suddenly got summoned by some random cult. So now he's standing in the middle of a summoning circle that's surrounded by cultists and heroes, but he doesn't care, he's now just disappointed in the world and a little sad.
Danny, looking an ancient god and king of space and terror, in the most pathetic and sad voice: My dino nuggies D:
Join me in Chicago where the pigeons have their own mini fire pit.
Linktober 2024 Day 27: Rest/Respite
Here’s some more fairy Hyrule!! He’s taking a nap because he used a lot of magic and tired himself out 🥺
Guys, I nearly forgot his freckles, that would’ve been the saddest thing ever if I hadn’t remembered at the last moment </3 Anyways, who’s letting him rest on them? I’ll leave that up to interpretation, feel free to put your opinion in the comments (or tags) if you'd like :))

Hey, could you bless us with some more Sidlink vore? Maybe Sidon swallowing Link? UWU
Why yes I can! This time in color :D
DPxDC Legal Power
Batman: You can not punish the Joker
Batman: You are no judge, jury, and executioner
Danny Fenton, standing over Joker's beaten body: Actually, I am
Danny Fenton, raising the Creep Stick up: I am the High King of Infinite Realms, and this bitch has been resurrected more than once
Danny Fenton, smacking Joker like a piñata: With the use of a pool of some nasty smelling ecto, mind you, but it puts him under my jurisdiction nonetheless
Danny Fenton, smiling at Batman as Joker is wheezing and trying to crawl away: So I am the judge, jury, and executioner for him since I'm the highest power in a Realm where he is a denizen
Danny Fenton, catching the Joker by the ankle and dragging him back: And as the King, I hereby sentence him to death by a repetitive use of The Creep Stick over his whole body
Batman: ...
Red Hood, with a bowl of popcorn: Do you mind switching The Creep Stick for a crowbar?
Danny Fenton: That can be arranged......
Red Hood offers him a crow bar. Danny takes it and starts wailing on the joker laughing evilly the whole time.
Batman was mortified.
Shad's drawing of Link. but coloured. It's black and white in the fic because why would he have coloured pencils on him while out in the woods.

Chapter 2
Link jumped forward with a yelp. Landing just past the hunter he doesn’t stop. Dashing with a sword still lodged in his front right leg. It was right through but the bones kept it pinned. He managed to make it away from Rusl. Once he was clear he looked at his leg.
‘How am I gonna get this out? It hurts… It hurts so bad.’ He mentally screamed. Licking the blood that sluggishly oozed from the wound he wined. His head and heart hurt.
“He stabbed me… Rusl actually stabbed me.” He cried. Flopping over in anguish Link howled as his tears started to fall. Once he started crying he couldn’t stop. He cried for quite some time. Once he couldn’t cry anymore he started to hyperventilate. Panic over his situation started to set in. He needed to remove the sword and get a move on. He couldn’t stay here. Biting the hilt he tries to pull it free. It was too long and too well in there for him to pull out on his own. The attempt only caused more damage.
Yelping and whining he decides to leave it alone. He wouldn’t be able to turn human with the sword through his leg like this. It was bad enough that a metal cuff hurt him every time he transformed he didn’t need to worry about a sword as well.
Shakily standing he limped away as the sun began to set.
~~~
Shad was just about to leave the forest when he heard the howl. It sounded pained and that caught his curiosity. The scholar couldn’t help but follow the whines and yelps. Coming to a clearing not far from Link’s tree he sees a large black wolf on its side with a familiar sword through its leg. “Aw, poor thing. I wonder.” He hums as he creeps closer to the creature. He made a mental note that this wolf was huge. He could probably ride it’s back. Once he was close enough he saw how much distress the animal was in, which made his heart ache.
Digging through his bag he finds a cloth bandage. He sighs before muttering “I doubt it will let me close enough to help.” He continued to approach.
~~~
Link knew someone was near but he was too hurt mentally to care. If it was Rusl he would run. Anyone else he will probably run as well. But he also knew he needed help. He started to pull himself back from his despair as the familiar scent of the scholar came through before his vision cleared.
He froze not making a sound as he watched Shad creep closer. 'Does he not know I can see him?’ Tilting his head in thought.
Shad was just about 3 meters away when Link tensed. He saw a dagger on Shad’s side.
“Hey, hey you alright boy. I’m not gonna hurt you.” Shad says calmly holding his hands up.
Huffing Link makes a mental note that he should talk to Shad about his lack of caution with monsters and wild animals. 'If it wasn’t me any other wolf would have torn this man to shreds.’
Hitching his breath Link backs up as another thought crosses his mind. 'I wonder what Hylian tastes like.’ A little drool drips from his mouth. This makes him panic once again, realizing what the intrusive thought was made his stomach knot and he felt ill. 'I cannot hurt my friends!’ He turns and flees in the bushes towards his house.
He doesn’t make it far before his leg starts to throb. But Epona hears him and whinies. Hearing this Link howls back. Causing his horse to come to him.
“Link? You called?” She rushes over.
Link lays on the ground exhausted “…”
“Oh my. Let me help with that” The horse says softly as she walks up to him. She bites the hilt.“This is going to hurt.” She mumbles as she talks with the hilt in her mouth.
Link doesn’t say anything but nods in understanding.
Epona pulls the sword out of his leg and drops it beside him.
Link yelps at this and groans afterwards. “I don’t think I can turn back at the moment. Thank you though, Epona. I am going to find somewhere to lay down now, I’ve had a day” He limps toward the village.
“Just be careful Link.” She whinnies.
Link makes his way towards the barn. He knew it was risky but he really just wanted to be warm and dry tonight. Sneaking in he finds himself amongst the goats. Some of them make comments about Link’s injury or how it’s not safe for him to be a wolf here and others say they just wanna sleep.
He ignores them and finds a spot in the hay to curl up in. Laying down he almost instantly passes out. He was tired. Some of the older goats that have known him the longest come and join him in the hay.
~~~ Rusl carried the gutted deer on his back as he followed the blood trail from the wolf. He finds Shad. “Hey, Shad. Have you seen a wolf?” he yells as he approaches the scholar.
“Yes, I am guessing that was your sword though it’s leg? It headed that way. I don’t think it’s a threat.” Shad says as he begins to walk back home.
“I am coming with you. The trail leads this way.” Rusl sighs as he continues. They walk together quietly for a moment. “Has Link always been so standoffish with everyone?” Shad asks.
“No, before everything happened he was a big part of this community, like a family member to the entire town. I practically raised him and I hate to see my boy hurting. I just wish I could get him to talk about what’s bothering him. He wasn’t ready to be a hero and was rather naive to the world before this. The wolf’s trail is getting too close to Link’s house and the town for my liking.”
“I understand. But I am not worried this wolf has been around since I got here. I have fed it a few times and it seems friendly enough I noticed it has a chain on its leg and a collar-like thing around its neck. I was hoping to see if I could befriend it because I believe it might have been someone’s pet. Would explain why it’s so tame and its proximity to the village.” Shad theorized as he continued to walk.
They end up in Link’s yard where Epona is resting. They find the sword just outside of Epona’s stall. “I cannot believe the wolf was here and hadn’t hurt the horse. I still do not like this.” Rusl says as he sets the deer down, he picks the sword up and inspects it before putting it back into its sheath. “I hope you’re right about it being tame. Since it appears to have walked into the village.” After saying this Rusl takes off with his deer.
“Yeah, I hope so too,” Shad says as he turns to pet the horse.
Dawn was edging onto the village of Ordon while Fado was getting up and ready. He was headed out to milk the goats. The barn seemed quieter than normal as he headed into the door.
Chapter 3
Opening the barn door Fado walked in noticing the goats hadn't even awakened yet. That was odd, did they stay up late? He pondered as he walked through the barn to the stalls where the milking station and hay were. Walking into the room he spots a dark creature lying with the older goats that don't produce milk anymore but are good pets.
Link hadn't been fully awake when some light from a lantern hit his face, he protested and cuddled his face into the fluffy fur of a goat. The animal cuddled him back.
"Is that a large dog?" Fado says as he approaches slowly careful not to spook the animal. Hid oldest goat Beth had an evil look in her eyes like he was trying to take a kid from her. "Don't worry girl I won't take the puppy from you, it seems friendly with you so I am not worried." He trusted his goats. They were strong livestock.
Link yipped in his sleep dreams about Midna running hands through his fur. He missed this. The old goat tried to soothe the wolf.
"Oh damn. That's a wolf. Does it have a collar? Necklace? Probably someone's pet. No wonder Beth took a liking to him." Fado commented as he started to get his station ready for milking.
Link whined in his sleep as the old goat got up and walked off. This gave Fado a moment to inspect the animal without getting head-butted.
His curiosity took over as he ran a large hand through the fur on the wolf's head. It leaned into the warmth. This prompted Fado to pet it more. "You're a gentle boy aren't you." Link wagged his tail subconsciously while he slept.
His tail patted against another goat's head causing it to be annoyed. The other goat head-butted Link, not hard but enough to wake him. Fado froze hand still very much buried in the wolf's fur.
Link felt fingers in his fur, someone was petting him but who? His eyes shot open in realization. It was Fado, remembering he spent the night in the barn that made sense. He was still hurt and tired. He flopped his head back down. 'He could have killed me if he wanted to. But he didn't. I guess I'll just rest. I don't have the energy to run right now.' Link ponders for a moment before deciding to roll over, showing his belly like a trusting dog.
"Do you want belly rubs, boy?" Fado said no fear in his voice just curiosity. Link yips before allowing Fado to scratch him. It was nice. 'Gods, why am I so weird. If only he knew it was me. I think I would die of embarrassment.'
Fado noticed the injury on the wolf's leg. "You hurt boy? I can patch you up if you like?" saying this he continued to rub the belly of the wolf.
Link whimpered, rolling over he offered Fado his leg. 'Probably couldn't hurt to have him look at it.'
"Oh boy, it's a clean cut on both sides. But it's dry so might be best to let it be now. I can pull the hay out of the scab but it'll hurt." Fado said grabbing the animal's leg, he was sure it wouldn't understand but he was used to talking to the goats so it felt right.
Fado pulled on the debrie in the wound causing the wolf to flinch and a low growl slipped from its throat. He flinched expecting to be a bit. Opening his eyes he sees the wolf look worried. "Huh, you really are a tame wolf."
Link winced, he didn't like being called tame for some reason. He didn't know why tho. He allowed Fado to clean his wound. Before drifting back to sleep in the hay.
"I guess I should get on with my chores. Probably best if I leave it sleeping for now." Fado got up and started to get the goats ready for milking.
~~~ The sun was now up and filling the sky with light. Fado finished his morning chores and opened the barn for the goats to go and graze before deciding to return to the wolf.
Link had been up now and feeling well enough to head home. Knowing he would have to bandage his arm once he returned to human form, he lingered as a wolf. He watched Fado work all the chores Link had done in the past as a ranch hand. He was following Fado in the shadows of the barn. Since he still wasn't sure how to feel about this. Realizing Fado was looking for him he made a small yipping noise behind him. The rancher jumped as he turned. "You scared me." Fado crouched by the large wolf.
"You know I used to have a dog before. He was a large Hylian terrier, always getting into trouble and jump-scaring me. I miss that dog." Reaching over Fado ruffled Link's fur. "Might be hard to get the other villagers to accept you as my pet, but you seem docile enough that they would accept you." Hearing this Link realized what the Rancher wanted.
Link didn't hesitate to dart out of the barn. He felt bad, Fado just wanted another companion dog. But Link wasn't a dog. He also didn't wanna be trapped in his wolf form. 'Maybe it would be safe to tell Fado about his beast form.' He ponders.
~~~
He scurted along the outskirts of the village towards his home. Both his front legs were sore, he tried not to limp but it was hard not to. Once in his yard, he looked around before turning back into his hylian form. Sighing heavily before climbing up the ladder to his house his now reopened wound started to bleed once again.
He opened his door just in time to see Shad scrambling to get dressed. "Oh! Link your back!" The scholar's voice sounded startled. "I was worried you hadn't taken any camping gear or even food." He looked closer at Link. "You're bleeding! Let me help you." The worried bookworm scurried over to Link.
"I'm fine nothing I cannot manage." Link covered his right arm with his hand sheepishly trying not to show the stab wound. He walks into his kitchen Shad now trying to get him to show him the wound, he had already grabbed Link's first aid kit before he could get to it.
Sighing Link offered his arm to Shad. Not making eye contact with the older man.
"This is a very clean wound, did you get attacked by bokoblins with swords or something?" He queried as he took a damp cloth to the stab wound.
Link just leaned his head forward glancing up through his brows before looking back at his arm. "Yes, something like that."
"Well, this will be an easy bandage at least. So me and Rusl encountered the wolf, I don't think it's a threat but he does." Shad stated.
Link just hummed in response.
"Your other arm is bruised as well. But I guess that's not new." Shad continued. "I made scrambled eggs and there is enough for both of us if you want any."
"Yeah, I wouldn't mind that."
They had breakfast together as Shad prattled on about the oocca and ruins in the forest as well as stories of the master sword.
~~~
Back in the village, Rusl had been approached by Fado with questions about wolves.
"I know they are dangerous but this one was so tame, so docile. I really wanna make it my pet if possible."

Me, a fool: It would be cool if TOTK brought back old Zelda enemies!
Me, later: I take it back I take it back I take it back
Something about the hand shaped enemies in Zelda games give me the absolute heebie-jeebies. I hate them so much. They freak me out man, it’s legit bad for my heart!
So here’s an artistic interpretation of the first time I came across those damnable gloom floormasters in game. It was like every creepy hand enemy merged into one nightmarish abomination come to haunt me. Link almost met the goddesses that day…
See if you can spot all the references!

After Midna leaves link and he gets gifted the shadow crystal. He has a hard time settling back down to life in the village. He is hurting and is sad but has no idea how to help himself. Being a hero at such a young age takes a toll on the boy. He eventually finds comfort but it takes awhile.
Chapter 1
It had been just a few weeks since Link had returned from his adventures. He wasn't adjusting well to life in the village again. He missed Midna and the few moments of downtime they had together when she helped him hunt and shared meals. Even though he could still turn into a wolf he felt a little guilty that he wanted attention while in that form but everyone was afraid of him.
Most of the villagers had noticed he was more withdrawn. But they let him be, he had been through an ordeal and they understood this. But they kept inviting him out or to dinner and Link just went along since being with them even though it hurt knowing that they were scared of part of him was better than being alone. There were a few nights where he debated telling the villagers about his wolf half but always decided not to when he remembered how his adoptive father and mother reacted the first time they saw him. He was hurting and didn't know how to handle this. But he kept himself together since he couldn't let people see him falter, he was a hero after all...
What made this even harder was that he had a temporary roommate in his tree house. Shad was staying with him till his cabin was finished in the Faron woods. Shad wasn't bad to live with but made it difficult for Link to relax fully. He kept transforming into a wolf in his sleep and hadn't quite gotten over some of his nightmares. He knew he could just put the shadow crystal out of reach when he slept but wasn't comfortable not having it on his person. ~~~
It was a rainy day and Link wasn't needed for anything in town so he just rotting in his bed when Shad called his name. "Link. Are you really going to lay there all day? If you have nothing better to do would you like to join me as I study plants in the forest? I am also looking for the interesting wolf that people have been seeing since it apparently has always been alone." Link hears him as he is looking through a bag below.
Link rolls his eyes as he thinks to himself 'Yeah that wolf is me... No shit I've been alone. The other wolves are even scared of me.' Before deciding to respond. "I am going to go for a walk and see if I can track the wolf probably best you don't follow. Might be a few days." Finally pulling himself out of his soft nest of blankets.
"Well, if you say so, Link. Just be careful, please." Shad sighed slightly sadly.
Climbing down Link nods at Shad before getting ready to go. "Feel free to eat some of the food here while I am gone. I'd hate to see it go to waste." He states. Thinking about how the canned fruit and vegetables seemed to be off-putting to him now.
"Alright. I will..." Shad says just in time to look up and catch Link just slipping out the door.
As soon as Link was out of the tree he slipped into the bushes behind his home and clutched the crystal causing him to turn into his wolf form. The pain from the cuff on his leg returned, the metal being pulled through his form every time he transformed. He huffed knowing he would need the help of someone else to get it off. The light rain washed all the scent trails away but the strongest smell was Epona who wasn't far from him.
"You know. The people would probably accept you. I wish humans were not so dense." Epona says before returning to her hay.
Link hums in understanding. Before he darts off into the forest. With the fresh rain on his face and the dewy grass beneath his paws, he doesn't stop till the rain dies down. He was truly soaked now. Between his own sweat and the rain, he was drenched. Shivering slightly he decided to bed in the tall grass deep in the forest. The sun hadn't even set but the trees blocked most of it out except where he decided to lie. There was a single ray that he rested in. It felt good. And soon enough he was out like a light. A few hours passed and he woke up to the sound of footsteps, a deer. This caught his attention. He never caught one before in his wolf form so the idea was tantalizing. His stomach agreed since he hadn't had breakfast or lunch.
He got into a crouched position and focused on the cent. This deer was bleeding already. Making it easier to track. He stocked after the injured doe. Once he was close enough he saw her, she had been gut shot. He recognized this kind of arrow. It was one of Rusl's. The shot was not lethal but enough that she wouldn't live long. Meaning Rusl was probably also tracking her. 'Would he be mad if I stole his hunt? I could just eat the parts he doesn't use and normally gives me anyway.' Links thinks to himself as he creps closer to the now-laying deer. She was lying by some ruins in the forest. The wind to his back he wondered why she hadn't fled yet.
"I can smell you there. It's fine I won't make it either way If you don't get me the hunter surely will." The doe spoke calmly and sadly. Emotion was heavy in her voice.
Link stood tall. Tilting his head. "I... Well, I never thought about the fact you can speak..." He was caught off guard by the deer speaking. Whatever composure he had before was lost as he realized most animals he had eaten probably could communicate.
"I can speak. But you do smell of humans... Am I the first deer you have encountered, wolf?" She says as she hunches in pain.
"Yeah. You are the first I have encountered in this form. I am human sometimes..." Link paws at the ground awkwardly. 'Why am I telling her this? She is going to die anyway. I could just end her so she isn't suffering.' He huffs in thought. His stomach growls loudly in protest.
"That is interesting. But I am hurting and you seem hungry. You don't have to fight your nature so hard. Be a wolf. Just be quick please?" She says as she lays her head back exposing her vitals. Closing her eyes with a deep breath.
Link walks over now made his mind up. Biting into her throat and feeling the warm rush of blood along his teeth and tongue. He bit harder and with a crunch all that could be heard from the doe was a wine followed by a gurgle. Part of him enjoyed this and part of him was horrified. He stood stunned for a long moment with the now broken neck of the deer still in his maw.
With a heavy sigh, he let go before inspecting the body. Before he acted on the first thought that popped into his mind. Tearing into the doe's belly he started to eat, the warm flesh he swallowed felt different in this form, it was good, and it felt right. Even eating organ meat was fine he enjoyed it. It probably would never taste this good in his human form. Realizing his taste had changed he stopped and pondered this change. But, it did make sense since all of his other senses had all been altered in this form. He accepted this. It felt right in a way.
He hadn't even touched the muscle. So it would be still usable for the hunter. Since he in a sense cleaned the deer for him.
Yawning, Link stretched his forelegs, then his hindlegs. Now with a full belly, felt like a nap. But he knew it wasn't a good idea to nap here.
Then the wind picked up and he caught a fresh scent on the wind. Rusl was very close. Link was now very alert. He stood up and peered in the direction of the smell. Before he could react he made eye contact with Rusl.
"You damned wolf! That's my deer!" Rusl shouted as he drew his sword and charged at Link.
Link jumped back over the carcass. His back to a stoney ruined wall, he pinned his ears and a low growl escaped his throat. He knew he could never hurt Rusl but he didn't wanna fight him. He just needed to escape.
Rusl was not swayed by this display. Instead blocking Link's exit and readying himself for a fight.
Link switched tactics, he knew it probably wouldn't work but he tucked his tail between his legs and wined, before getting ready to dash.
Rushing at the wolf Rusl swung low at the wolf, this caused Link to jump and he landed on the older man. Pinning him to the ground. Link made a wine as his eyes met the older man's.
Link appeared stunned for just long enough that Rusl had time to react.
He plunged his sword into the wolf.
