Elimination (G-96) @ Thomas
The complete lack of emotion G-96 had allowed him a much more refined, direct train of thought to things. However he did still understand empathy and its experiences, from other people⌠So a lack of information seemed unnecessary, considering the manâs soon-to-be end. The flailing and fighting of Thomas likely only hurt him more, hitting and kicking and making impacts on an incredibly hard alloy.
"You are far more than that. You have the potential to be of a higher level than most Mutants can ever dream to be. You got in the way of our assessment of Pandemic, and have become a consistent distraction. That is something that needs to be rectified⌠Now stop struggling."
G-96âs free hand cocked back before quickly making two small incisions in his abdomen, almost symmetrical. The pain Tom likely experienced was sudden, intense, and left a searing sensation in his nerves. Retracting the âclawsâ, the cyborg stared him down; his target was a doctor, so it probably didnât take more than a few seconds for him to realize G-96 had just punctured his adrenal glandsâŚ
A cold terror swept through Tom at the mention of Richard? What the hell did he mean, assessment of Pandemic? Was Richard in trouble? The very thought of something happening to his boyfriend made tom feel nauseous. The concern for Richardâs safety made Tom spring into action but he was too late. As he began to struggle as hard as he could,A sharp, agonizing pain in his lower stomach. acting out of sheer shock and desperation, Tomas grabbed the metal ..whatever the fuck it was that was coming out of the man..machine..what ever the fuck it was. He screamed as he twisted and used his weight suddenly and brutally to force the thing to let him go.It did not help him,not really. he was still cornered, still right where it wanted himâŚhe was prey.
Chills swept over Tom, he heart began beating wildly and sweat popped up on his brow. As he tried to stand his ground, his vision blurred. He was going to die. The fact hit him hard as he stood there. Thomas was not going to walk out of this bathroom.
William's 'assignment' didn't take long at all. His kneejerk reaction was mediated by his own experiences with his 'job' at SHIELD. In particular, he reviewed the medical and evaluation files of the six people, including the two who were Thomas' coworkers. Noticing that G-96's data was more comprehensive, he made a mental note to assess their files later and perhaps transfer them to his own care. The more potentially-explosive man had just lost his wife... Something that resonated strongly with William.
He didn't realize G-96 was trying to mislead him into killing for the sake of 'protecting' Thomas... Nor did G-96 realize that The Spectre was going to jump at the chance to heartlessly kill anyone he perceived as a threat, nor that his own feelings would factor in beyond his care for Thomas.
So William was quite surprised when he stepped into the shadows of the lab and saw there was no one there... Naturally stepping into the bathrooms and looking for the man's shoes in a stall, he instead saw G-96 surgically puncture Tom, in a semi vital area no doubt.
Somehow, despite the overwhelming flow of rage, panic, and need to protect the man, The Spectre had the sense to not just appear out of midair. He stepped from the shadows outside of the bathroom door before opening it, staring at the two for a moment still partially in shock.
Thomas was slumped against the wall, still standing, as G-96 approached. It was just as surprising to the cyborg to see his 'partner' at such an inopportune time. Shifting into a simple appearance in case bystanders arrived, G-96 didn't anticipate much of a problem. The Spectre, after all, was not the better assassin. He found himself far more surprised when William, without skipping a beat, crossed the room and snatched G-96 up by the back of his neck and slammed his head into the nearby sink - he had underestimated The Spectre's strength.
"Thomas, run!"
