Shayla said that without her injury she would have been a lock for the 2008 team. So, she set up a fund for donations to take her family to Beijing. She said she would give the money all back or give it to another member of the team, if she didn’t. She didn’t make it, but still used all the money to go to Beijing. She got into the Olympic village and arena by using Bridget Sloan’s pass.

-She got kicked off the 2008 tour for underage drinking -She said she would break more records in NCAA than Courtney Kupets and then had a terrible career including falling on her UB mount which was just a jump to hang on high bar -On a recruitment trip to UCLA, Miss Val took back her scholarship offer and kicked Shayla and her mom out of her car in LA traffic because Shayla and her mom made racist comments about how there were too many n-words and q-words in LA -She made racist comments saying that the Americans were robbed by a bunch of underage Chinese girls as a guest commentator for International Gymnastics. -On Facebook with Sam, Nastia, and Alicia: -they posted a pic of the team really. happy and captioned it “our faces when we get the gold medal after the underage Chinese girls are stripped” -someone added on “OUR FACES WHEN CHANG FAY FELL THREE TIMES” -Sam added that her favorite memory in Beijing was Shayla mocking a Chinese man saying “someting vewwwy woong”
