Caleb and Ames
[Young Caleb who may have had some feelings for Ames when they were younger and is absolutely terrified when he finds out what happened to Ames and his unit when they are much older. Caleb who makes a name for himself in the military, managing to get himself involved in the mission that promises to take out the group who took Ames from him.
Caleb feeling relief like he has never felt before when he finds Ames alive and is able to bring him home, having that relief ripped away when Ames disappears.
Caleb trying to move on and joining the G.O.D.S. only to have fate lead him to Ames again and Caleb having to deal with the realization that Ames is trying to forget about him.
