Not to get sappy but it's Ames's birthday, and Eilidh is so full of love for him it would be embarrassing if she wasn't so proud to be with him. Proud of herself and of him because they're making it work even when it's hard. He makes her feel vulnerable and capable and beautiful and safe, and she would do anything for him (if only he'd learn to ask). Please assume she kissed him many times today, once for each year he's been alive but oops she lost count, better kiss him again to be sure.

Eilidh doesn't mention Valentine's Day, but Ames doesn't either. It's not their kind of holiday. It doesn't bother her in all the ways it used to, but it still makes her a bit tense. But the morning after, with all that symbolic weight off her shoulders, she keeps Ames in bed and kisses him, and tells him she loves him, and feels very lucky to have him.
Ames may grumble a bit (who would he be if he didn’t) but they both know he loves having the chance to spend the time with her. Ames was never a fan of Valentine’s day. It’s a farce of a holiday all about grand gestures that to him need not be. He loves Eilidh, loves her with everything he is. She already knows that. And all he ever hopes is that she knows by now that his love isn’t conditional. She is free to be who she is and he loves her all the same.
But forgive him for being a little pleased knowing she is there with him.

[so I've been trying to find all of the emails for my many different blogs/muses and I have most of them but I can't remember what email I gave the blog I moved wes to and it is all actually quite tragic]
[Anyway I’ve been trying to decide if I should just consolidate my muses on one blog for easy access to avoid problems like this in the future. It’s just kind of not great for organizing and stuff, but I’m undecided. I really do think about Ames and rping again all the time. I just haven’t gotten around to it.]
