Shadowhunters

Here’s some evidence:

1. It’s Blackthorn Hall, which used to belong to the Lightwoods. It would make sense that when they died, their ghost would be at the house. Any of the merry thieves wouldn’t.

2. You become a ghost when you have unfinished business. I think we can all agree that Tatiana will die in CoT without reconciling with her brothers, and although I believe that they would move past it throughout their lives, there is a possibility that it becomes a kind of unfinished business when they die.

3. The ghost reacted to the name Blackthorn. Their sister kept the last name Blackthorn so it was obviously have significance to them.

4. The ghost reacted to Matthew’s name. This could be that they both loved Matthew, or it could even be them reacting to the Fairchild last name. The Fairchilds played a really important roll in their lives, and they were like family so they would obviously react.

5. We all think the ghost knows Magnus, and they both do. Not much more needs to be said there.

In The Lost World from GOTSM it says this:

I think this is talking about Matthew because

1) the year is 1904 which is probably right after TLH, and 2) that’s such a Matthew saying to carve into the wall.

Cassandra Clare has said that in TWP the shadowhunters will face the biggest threat in shadowhunter history that will change the world of shadowhunters forever. If this is true, there is no way that shadowhunters alone will be able to stop this threat because their numbers have been dwindling low since the Dark War, and a good amount of them are now stuck in Idris forever (not complaining, Zara can rot in hell). Even with the help of downworlders, it might not be possible to win the war against this new threat. But, the shadowhunters have a secret weapon that only a few of them know about: Livvy Blackthorn. What can Livvy probably do? Communicate with the dead. Livvy can get a message to Lucie Herondale (who will obviously be dead in TWP era) and tell her that the shadowhunters are facing a huge threat and need her help. So what does Lucie do? She commands all the dead shadowhunters and downworlders in heaven to come with her to help take down this threat. Just imagine how iconic this would be. All our favorite characters who are now gone, fighting with their descendents and friends. Now imagine Jem fighting besides Will one last time, and Tessa getting to see Will and her children all fighting alongside their parabatais. Think about Henry not being paralyzed and being able to fight alongside Charlotte and his kids. All the Lightwoods would be there (Cecily, Gabriel, Gideon, Sophie, and their kids), in one last epic battle. Imagine how amazing it would be when all the present characters get to meet the characters from the past in true shadowhunter fashion, fighting in a battle that seems almost unwinnable. Even downworlders like Raphael, Jordan, and Woosley Scott could make an epic appearance. Also think about all the dead shadowhunters that we don’t even know exist that would be there. Or ones that we do know but not well: Eloise Ravenscar and Silas Pangborn, Granville Fairchild, and even Jonathan Shadowhunter himself would be such a power move. I’m not saying that any of this is actually going to happen, but if it did, it will literally give me chills, I would probably cry, and it would be the most memorable shadowhunter scene ever (and that’s saying a lot).
