      “I told you, Kamui. It’s fine-- my duty is to ensure your safety.” Those words echoed in his head for the longest time, and refuse to stagnant in their importance. It bugged him, honestly, that his childhood friend-- no, his best friend had no regard for his own safety and was so selfless. While he admired his altruistic personality and his unlimited kindness, and even envied his lack of self-preservation... he couldn’t help but get angry.

        Once again, Silas came to the rescue and narrowly took a hit for him. A frown tugged at the prince’s lips, eyes narrowing into slits at his adversary-- only for them to fixate on his bleeding friend instead. Eyes grew wide once more, as he furiously looked around in search of a healer. Unfortunately, Elise wasn’t around-- she was on the other side of the battlefield, presumably. 

       Remaining fueled with distaste for Silas’s recklessness, he searched his own body for perhaps just one vial filled with replenishment. Upon finding one, he visibly sighed out of relief and popped its top off and offered it to Silas, who had taken himself to laying on Kamui’s lap (due to Kamui’s insistence). Silas, albeit barely conscious, shook his head-- probably insisting that Kamui keep it instead.

        “Silas, I’m sick of this! Haven’t I told you that you need to care for yourself?” Kamui hissed, red eyes aflame with rage, but conceded and took a large sip of the vulnerary. However he didn’t swallow the liquid. The concept seemed... a little unsanitary for his tastes, but he wasn’t sure there was any other choice. Well, he swore he saw something like this in a book before. It ought to work, right? His determination resolute, he yanked Silas’s head from his lap and crashed his lips into the knight’s-- and luckily for him, his mouth was open from protesting-- then transferred the medicine (and his spit, ew) to Silas.

         Eyes shift back and forth from the stack of tomes piled in his hands to the legendary tome, Brynhilder that sat comfortably in his younger brother’s. Scratching his chin with widened eyes, Kamui settle onto blankly staring at the stack of magic books for amateurs. The thing was, despite his supposed ability to wield tomes due to his new status of being the Nohr Royal class, he found himself to be rather lacking in his magic growth. Maybe he just wasn’t cut out to wield it-- the thought made him frown.

        “Lucina, I noticed that you never look at Odin, Lazward, and Luna. Why’s that?” He questioned, dipping his head to the side as he tried to make sense of the mystery shrouding her. It was interesting, he had to admit, and it wasn’t exactly a far-cry from how fuzzy the three’s histories were. From what he heard from his siblings, the three popped out of nowhere and were sworn into service-- but if they are loyal to his siblings, then he couldn’t find it in him to oppose their presence, despite their dubious pasts.
