What an absurd answer, and yet, the Septima was intrigued within an instance. Did she mean metaphorically? could she perhaps be trying to make herself seem like a threat, or in the least, sound like one? He couldn't be sure truthfully. There were plenty of things she could have meant, things he thought too critically about, others, humored for his own folly.
