Going into this I knew Patton was gonna have so many coz 80% of the songs are about love, but honestly the others managed to surprise me too. Especially Virgil, he’s up there in number of songs. In hindsight, it makes sense that love songs would mention anxiety (though they are a bit surface level at times) I had to give those to him. There were some songs that fit more than one of them, the way I decided who it went to is by seeing who had fewer songs at the time of hearing it, so if you disagree with my choices, you probably don’t. Still I’d love to hear about them, I may have missed stuff. Most of the songs are very surface level characterization (there’s only so much character analysis you can do with TWICE lyrics), but some I truly believe fit nicely. Logan by far has the weakest selection with like 2 good ones sprinkled in there, I tried not to give him too many sweet themed ones but unforch they would have gone to Patton anyways and he already had 50+ songs yk.. so please forgive me <3 most of the songs at the end of his playlist are ones I struggled with putting in (scientist especially, I have personal beef w that song). Remus’ I’m surprised TWICE had so many menace songs. I’m proud of Janus’ picks, some of them really make my head explode with how perfect they are.

he's a very interesting, complex character to read about and study - as a fictional character within Journey To the West and as a whole in relation to Chinese culture;
he's an incredibly funny, smart, charismatic, hella powerful MONKEY that cares about his subjects (he is - in fact - a great and generous king) and is overall incredibly loyal to ones he's close with. What's not to love?;
he starts a lot of fights with words that roughly mean "Fucked Your Mom" (in Chinese culture calling yourself someone's "father/grandfather" is a huge insult to the opponent, as far as I know; he pulls this shit almost CONSTANTLY);
he pissed on Buddha. Like, THE Buddha. Nothing can top this shit, sorry, it's HILARIOUS.
-This fuzzy hyperactive criminal overturned Heaven, but somehow still has friendships/favors to call in whenever he’s in a jam? The text is always super vague about whether these people are actually helping him out of friendship or bladder-wobbling terror

-Gotta say again that he’s less than 4 feet tall because I find that beyond hilarious. The armies of Heaven got flattened by a monkey-sized monkey.
-Also he BECAME A BUDDHA. Fully enlightened one-with-everything devout compassionate Good Guy. Sun Wukong, infamous demon warlord, turned his life around that hard. In fourteen years. Guy really can do anything he sets his mind to.

oh, huh, the STORY. it was that book where i for the first time read Sun Wukong's name, and i had no idea what "JTTW" was about, i mean not about the slightest reference. (i didn't even know there was a reference!). so, i only caught the idea of this particular work by this author, and the atmosphere in it (and it still struck a chord with me)
then, after a very long time, i saw Sun Wukong's name in the context of the LMK cartoon, and it seemed familiar to me, and i went to find out and thus learned about the existence of Lego Monkie Kid. and ONLY THEN i discover the existence of "Journey to the West", and HERE I AM-
