Wally is sluggish and quiet. He is not shy, but he sits on the sidelines of his own life, watching the others in their play. To wear any other face would stir the waters too much. He knows something terrible and is at once amused and tormented by it. Sometimes he is cheeky, sometimes he is just despaired.
