Ballpoint pen art of Meleys, the Red Queen.

I love ding cross-hatching, but it's definitely an exercise in patience. I bought a batch of colored pens for the purpose of doing this kinda stuff. Took me a couple years to crack open that pack, though... oops!

And from the claimings we've seen, certainly in Season 2, the way a dragon accepts a rider is very personal and individual. And very telling.

Meleys bends her neck. She bows. The Red Queen bowed to the (at that time) Queen To Be.

Gracefully, elegantly, without a second guess, perhaps. And for a dragon to bend their neck is to come close. To be human height, especially a dragon as large as Meleys. So, she and Rhaenys become equals as well.

Rhaenys actually did very well on dragonback. She was the best rider and had manoeuvred better than Vhagar AND Sunfyre.

When they tell the story, Rhaenyra and everyone on team black need to know that

A. Rhaenys was jumped

B. Rhaenys bested Aegon BEFORE Vhagar came

C. Meleys fell down and got back up the most!!

D. Neither Vhagar nor Sunfyre can destroy Meleys ALONE
