“Can I have some water?” Sirius asked the other, his voice hoarse. He took a sip of the water when she gave it to him before beginning to ask twenty questions. “Why is she busy? I am awake! She should be here! How long was I out? How long do I have to stay here? I don’t like this place.” he grumbled irritatedly. 

Serenity tried not to take his attitude personally, so she just kept smiling as she gave him the water. “Well I can’t answer all of those questions since I’m not a nurse, but Madame Pomfrey will be with you soon I’m sure. Some people didn’t make it out as well as you did,” she frowned as she looked at all the other hurt students. “Do you remember what happened to you?”

Betsy had never liked the hospital wing, especially not when she was a patient. It left her feeling like too much of a burden, even more so now with so many beds filled. She could just as easily be resting and recovering back in her dorm room. She sighed, blinking as she stared at the ceiling above her. “It’s so quiet in here,” she said, mostly speaking to herself. Too quiet, really, if you asked her opinion. 

Serenity tried to help out at the hospital wing, but she couldn’t help paying extra attention to her fellow hufflepuffs. As soon as she saw Betsy wake up, she was by her side with a friendly smile. “Yeah, I think people are just trying to rest up now. How are you feeling?” she asked, ready to call on Madame Pomfrey if needed. “Do you want some tea?”

It was hours after he had been attacked by Evan’s uncle that Sirius opened his eyes. It took him a moment to understand where he was, groaning as soon as he realized he was in the hospital wing. Attempting to sit up, he failed miserably – is whole body was in pain and he hated that he couldn’t just get up and leave the place. He scowled and lay there for there wasn’t much else he could do, staring at the ceiling, waiting for his meds to work enough for him to get the hell out of the place. 

Serenity had been in the hospital wing since people had started coming in, helping as much as she can. She might not have medical experience, but with such a crowded space, she was happy to comfort those waiting to be helped. She happened to be nearby when she noticed Sirius wake up. “Hey, hey,” she said softly, going to sit next to him. “You should probably stick to laying down for a while. Madame Pomfrey’s a bit busy, is there anything I can get you?”
