It was a hopeful ending but it sure as hell wasn't a happy one.

Caine will always have to keep himself in check for an indefinite amount of time. That is much more demanding than many would like to realize.

Pomni cannot share her knowledge about Jax and I bet she does feel guilty to some extent for not having reached out that one time where Jax approached her of her own volition.

Zooble still will have to come to terms with the fact that while another part of her gets to live their ambitions, they themselves will only ever get an approximation of it.

I think that for Ragatha and Gangle this kind of existence will be fulfilling for a variety of reasons, since now they have the support and love they longed for (and deserved), but it does not entirely erase the abuse they suffered in and outside the circus.

Kinger does feel guilty for having contributed to what is essentially an inescapable realm but with the way things turned out, now he can at least contribute to making it a welcoming one.

But the thing that is also assured is that their existences could end any minute, without warning (CnA shutting down the project, the electricity getting cut, the computer components breaking down after decades of running nonstop...).
