Half baked posts that never made it to the light of feed

It’s midnight right now but I’m still at my desk. I’m in the middle of a groove of scanning negatives that have been donated to me by family members as well as strangers.

I’m losing my mind over how well some of these are coming out too. The only thing at my disposal is a flatbed scanner and a desk lamp.

It says medium-low heat, I've had a lot of success with my griddle set at 300-350°F or like 149-177°C I think?

Also the mix right here is brilliant. I used minced fresh ginger cause we didn't have any powdered and it was probably better in my opinion.

Anyway. Just had this two nights in a row and had to yap about it.

I also don't see this as a fault of Vine necessarily, but more so of TikTok. TikTok's are just a little bit too long, and something about that feels like the problem to me. Like they're just long enough to where I start to feel invested in whatever it is that I am watching, while Vine on the other hand was more like a driveby.

I never expected to get anything of substance from a Vine, but reels, shorts, TT's, they all give this feeling to me like there's something there worth sticking around for. Like there is no world in which you, as a creator of Vines, meaningfully cares about how long individual users watched your video. Like watch time just isn't a thing. And maybe that's the thing, you can't monetize "views" and effectively as you can "watch time."
