but ok like, Stiles is well aware that he can be over the top and a lot to handle and it’s kinda been getting him down because he feels like he’s just being a nuisance to the pack and his dad and basically everyone but one night he’s texting Derek (nothing new there) and their doing their normal playful banter but then stiles just receives “I’m going to marry you” text in the middle of a [lighthearted] argument and at first he’s really happy like “wow, YES” but then the dark thoughts come creeping in and ruin his mood so he just responds with “No ones going to marry me I’m a handful” and expects that to be the end of it but what he gets in response is beyond anything he could have expected and for the first time in a while his thoughts don’t drag him out of his happiness
