LOVE IS LIFE

Don’t let nobody convince yall black men can’t or won’t be good fathers.

The soul is always smiling. Nothing outside of itself is required to make it smile. It smiles from inside its own Self. It is smiling all the time. It doesn’t need to necessarily show itself on the face. It is a natural state of joy within one’s own being. Nothing is needed outside to trigger it. And I feel this is the natural state of all beings. If they are not troubled by their minds, if they don’t give their personal sense of identity so much attention, they will find that they are happy inside themselves.

It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it
