UGHH I LOVE THIS SONG FOR SAM. this was the first ever song I really started looping to think about him, which is why it’s the top of the playlist lol!

The first reason was that— the slow building piano feels really underlyingly intense. The way a manic episode is almost weird and separated from your body. I heard it and was like oh my hod. This is a manic episode.

The first few lyrics:

‘The season’ being, again, the fluctuating highs and lows. The last two create this sort of distinction— disassociation from the body. I think Sam hurts himself and I think he has a hard time seeing. Pain or harm as. What it is.
