A true monster project that I am so so proud of! This is a combined bind of back and forth from new york + went home and tried to stalk you on the internet (the accompanying socmed).

The theme of this bind was The New Yorker. I research how their covers and inside stories are formatted and replicated in the book covers and the typography. I'm very proud of the everything bagel drawing I found online to use as the dinkus. Both covers are handdrawn (well, on an ipad), by me. Part 1 is a city scape of New York for the place that welcomed Shane home and part 2 is the cottage for the home that Shane, Ilya, Anya, and Sunny created together. 

The SocMed sections were individually created tweets, instagram, and text threads created on Figma. 

As always, BAFFNY is free to read on AO3. No AI was used in the creation or design of this personal bind. Never buy or sell fanfiction. If you do, I hope your AC or fan stops working for every summer for the rest of your life.

As a story about people changing and coming back together to create something new, the idea that spoke to me the most for this theme was the transformative art of collage. In essence, you are not changing the original, but through cuts and contextualization you make something new and beautiful. Anyways, i had a ton of fun making these. All images were found on pinterest and assembled together by me on Figma. No generative AI was used. Fuck that shit.

The Gurlsrool collection

A collection of all of gurlsrool one shots at time of creation made for gurlsrool. The theme for this was Snoopy, as per their love of the character. The social media skins for the typesets was made through a combination of Affinity Studio styling and Figma components. The cover was hand drawn by me based on the classic snoopy illustration.

A Hollanov fic where Shane moves to Boston Raiders to be closer to Ilya. Its short and sweet and tugs at your heartstrings like nobody's business.

Honestly, the only thought for the theme of this fic was that I like stars.

Lionheart Year 5 - Volume 2: Son & Heir by @greenerteacups

My latest addition to the Lionheart series. I binged typeset all of book 5 the day after the last chapter of book 5 dropped. I haven't read the last 4 chapters, so I'm going into it blind and I'm so excited for it. 

The cover is art by arch polar and used for personal use only with permission from the artist. The title page illustration is by Andrew Davidson. The chapter illustrations are by Levi Pinford. 

I'm currently rereading the entire series before starting Year 5. In celebration, I gave the earlier books a glow up with amazing illustrations by @landbeorht . Its printed on transparent acetate and look like stained glass in the sunlight. 

Creep by @cr0ftisprocrastinating

For this brain and memory themed book, I went with am overprint and risograph themed design. The analog version of these techniques involve printing over the same sheet of paper multiple times, which align nicely with the mind magic aspect of the book. The natural noise and fuzziness of the techniques also go very nicely with the memory loss theme of the book too. The author notes are designed as footnotes at the end of the chapter to emulate that academic Oxford feel. The egg endpages made sense to me because eggs represent new beginnings.
