Letâs talk about art theft (yup, again)

So, I hope this is alright, but I wanted to illustrate the difference between inspiration and tracing and how its not merely being the same pose thats the problem.
Hereâs a quick sketch I did. Same pose, same expression but completely different otherwise and clearly not traced. Even if theyâre similar an overlay wouldnât produce a nearly identical set of lines.
Op isnt upset the pose is the same, theyâre upset that theyâre EXACTLY the same. And the slight line wobble in a couple places and minor nose adjustment donât count as significantly different to discount it as tracing.
You can see the tracer had no idea what to do with areas that were covered (the shoulder with the scarf; the proportioning on the back of the head). They donât have enough understanding of the form they traced to adequately fill in places that were hidden in the original.
The seam coming down the middle of the dress further illustrates this as it doesnt follow the contours of the body, and would be skewed head on. It all points to the tracer not having the proper understanding of anatomy to have drawn those exact same lines on their own.
Itâs clearly not theirs and an obvious trace of the OPâs art, their edits arenât sufficient especially when you see the overlays.
