Sanrio Danshi ‘round towels’ from Anigater

Hey, so I don’t know if this will help anyone, but I thought I might type up a little informational post on where to buy Sdan goods. There are a very limited amount of sources outside of Japan, but there’s still ways to get merch.

Stores List:

The Sanrio Online Store - Sanrio does have a limited number of merch items in their store, as of this post, just the Putito blind boxes.

JapanLA - Again, there are a limited number of merch items in this store. They’re the only US-based store I’ve seen that carries sdan merch.

1999 - Hobby store that occasionally has preorders for merch.

AitaiKuji - Carries a ton of sdan merch, and has preorders as well

AmiAmi - Probably one of the most cost effective stores to buy sdan merch, but pretty much anything outside of preorders is usually sold out.

CDJapan - Offers books and preorders for merch.

GoodsRepublic - Offers used and new sdan merch. The best thing about this service is that shipping is free.

Hachi Sales - Offers group orders for factory extras of rubber straps and similar items. They just did a sdan order a few weeks ago, so keep an eye out for future ones.

Heroine Complex - I haven’t bought from them, but they carry quite a few hard to find merch items.

Hobbylink Japan - Japanese hobby site that has some merch. I’ve noticed it’s better to search Sanrio Boys rather than Sanrio Danshi on this site.

Play-Asia - Another hobby site with a little bit of sdan merch.

Rakuten Global Market - The English version of Rakuten, a popular Japanese shopping site. I’ve never actually used it before, and I’m not sure how it works with the sellers, so proceed carefully.

Tiger’s Playground - Offers gently used merch at reasonable prices.

Tokyo Otaku Mode - Offers some of the manga and fan books. Unfortunately, many of them have been sold out for quite some time.

YYKawaii - Deco case maker who carries sdan merch from time to time.

Other Places to Check:

Ebay - Prices vary, but you can get some good deals on merch if you’re vigilant.

Amazon - Has a limited selection, but I actually managed to snag some items from Amazon.

Depop - This is a phone app, but I’ve seen some Sanrio Danshi merch on here from time to time.

Buyee - This is a proxy service that allows you to buy from Yahoo Auctions, Rakuten, and Amazon.jp. With the fees, it can be quite expensive to ship, however. You need to search in Japanese, so I recommend copying and pasting the search terms: サンリオ男子 (Sanrio Danshi), 西宮 諒 (Ryo Nishimiya), 源 誠一郎 (seiichiro minamoto), 長谷川 康太 (Kouta Hasegawa), 水野 祐 (Yuu Mizuno), 吉野 俊介 (Shunsuke Yoshino), 雨ケ谷 昴 (Subaru Amagaya), 菅見 直樹 (Naoki Sugami).

FromJapan - Just another proxy service. I find their prices to be comparable to Buyee’s.

Conventions - This is just a general thing, but I notice a lot of people have found merch at conventions. Prices and availability will vary wildly for this, of course, but it’s worth it to keep an eye out if you’re going to one.

Carousell - This seems to be a Singapore-only site, but if you live in that country, I’ve seen a ton of merch on there for a good price.

Personal Shoppers - I’ve heard some people say they find rare merch by using personal shoppers. I’ve seen a few people on Instagram, but I honestly have no idea how you go about finding a reputable one.
