Layna let out a happy sigh and wiped the sweat off her brow with the back of a wrist.  Finally.  The entire week after she'd moved into Snowbelle, she'd been avoiding the stacks of boxes that loomed over her every time she passed her living room.  

It had been a grueling task to tackle on her own, with only the slightest amount of help from her distracted Pokemon, but she was just about to melt into a puddle of relief now that she had finished sorting her things.  

Her eyes shining, the girl turned to Racer, her Shinx, who was currently prodding at one of the empty boxes with his paw.  The Electric-type promptly jumped on her lap and purred.  Layna smiled and stroked Racer's blue fur.

"Thank you for waiting for so long, pal," she said warmly.  "Ready to go outside?"  

Racer cried out jovially in reply, and the two headed out into the cold, snowy outdoors after Layna had retrieved her coat.
