it's a new dawn

How are you currently feeling about going on tour? 

I'm excited. I mean we've been working on this tour for months now, and it's the first world tour we've ever done, so... I'm pumped to get out on the road, and show the fans all our hard work. And hopefully they'll like it, haha.

Are you excited to leave the country and go to places you haven’t been?

Well yeah, I'm really looking forward to that. One of the reasons I chose this job was so I could travel, and now I'm getting to do that, and it's great. I'm not super excited for the possibility of getting lost in a place where I don't speak the language, but I'm hoping for the best. Maybe I'll pick up a few new words along the way.

What is one thing you really want to do while being on tour?

I wish I could answer with something deep or existential or whatever, but to be honest, I just wanna eat some new food. I love food. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to trying some foreign delicacies. If I get a chance, I'm gonna try and eat something I've never had before in every new place we go. 

Any expectations with being away for so long from your friends and family?

Well this isn't our first time on tour, so I'm kinda familiar with how it all goes. If I'm telling the truth, most of my friends are on tour with me. This is such a time consuming job, it's kind of difficult to form relationships outside of my workplace. So I guess that's kinda fortunate in that I won't have to say goodbye to too many of my friends. I'm not gonna see my mom for a while, but I'll call and Facetime and all that. Honestly I'm more worried about her than me. Hopefully she won't miss me too much.

How do you feel about the camera crew and photographers following you around while on tour? Are you excited about a possible movie to come out?

Most people who know me well, know I'm not a huge fan of having my picture taken or being on camera. But if it's involved in my job, I can grin and bear it. I don't love it, but it's kinda cool to think that what we're doing is being documented and we can look back on this one tour in ten years or something and see it exactly as it happened. 

I think a movie could be awesome, but I'm not gonna get too excited until it's a sure thing. It would be great exposure for the band, obviously. And I know the fans would really enjoy seeing some behind the scenes stuff. I dunno, we'll see what happens I guess.

Favourite person on tour so far and why?

Oh no don't do this to me. I work with these people I can't choose a favorite. I mean... Chloe's always nice to have around, of course, cause she's got her head screwed on straight, and she knows how to keep the boys from causing too much trouble. Also, her daughter, Lux, is actually the cutest thing in the world.

Biggest pet peeve and why?

I'm such an old lady, but improper grammar. Like when people say "anyways" instead of "anyway" or "I could care less." -shudders- I hate it.

Any certain places you are excited to go to and why?

Germany, honestly. I love everything German. I took German in high school and it was my favorite subject. I'm so excited to finally visit for the first time. If I'm lucky I might get a chance to do some exploring for a while. We're gonna be there for a few days, so fingers crossed I'll get some time off to be a tourist for a bit.
