You looked at me with love.
Darkness crept onto our faces, as our inhibitions lowered with each sip of a liberating poison that pulsed through our veins and ran our tongues dry. The night was still young but we found ourselves struck by similar feelings and although your ties had held you before, sown into an eternity of unrequited love was a single fleeting moment where you were whole and you were mine.
We approached people as a couple, drowning in the childish pleasures of our deception - so much so that we soon forgot where we had stood just days before.
It was amongst the flashing lights that we hid our hands, blaming dance as we explored each others bodies with an eagerness that knew its time was scarce. You looked at me and I immediately saw your eyes, those eyes you must have grown accustomed to seeing each day we spent together, when I knew your heart was elsewhere. But tonight it was here. Soaked in alcohol, our lips began to spill with toxic and without a single word of confession, a thousand feelings were exposed as we broke hearts that were not ours and filled ourselves with passions we could not keep.
The first ray of sunlight signaled a new day and we once again became people, complete with lives and commitments that thwarted our euphoria as easily as it had come. And then I was alone. My body ached as my mind raced with thoughts of future implications, and whether there were any at all. I reminisced about how I had been infatuated with you and the countless times I convinced myself to forget you - when the pain was especially cruel and I had given up trying to tame it. The memories came flooding back, and I remembered the sharp taste of longing and how my tongue had felt it all too much - its prickling embrace my home. I dreaded returning to it that new day, because it was not a new day to say the least, for love was an abusive partner that had caged me in with the door unlocked.
Yet though my mind was wrought with blows of self-pity and despair, my heart continued to sing one melodic line that I knew would stay with me for years to come.
She looked at me with love.
When a bird is alive it eats ants, yet when it dies, the ants eats it. Circumstances can change at any time and the tables usually turn over a period of time. Do not oppress, despise or hurt anyone during your lifetime. You may be powerful today but remember, time is more powerful than you! Just like one tree makes a million match sticks, yet when the time comes, only a single match is needed to burn a million trees.

For the sake of greed, I did something terrible. I hurt you. Don't hide, please. It's me. It's my fault. I threw you away - a momentary lapse in judgement.

People are often so caught up in defining justice. They build it up to be a great, or terrible, force that governs our lives and dictates their beliefs. But the truth is that justice is neither good nor bad. It doesn't benefit the poor, nor does it rally the masses to commit inhumane acts - those are simply the desires of a select few. True justice, is far less complex. Because the universal truth of justice is that where compassion has been shown, it must show to others. The fact is that it is impossible to eradicate judgement, nor is it possible to judge judgement itself as good or bad. Say if confronted with a snake, a person will judge instantly whether it is a threat or not. Or say, another human being. But if compassion is shown to a person who in turn causes only pain, they will be indebted for an eternity. Likewise, if compassion is denied from a person and they in turn deny compassion onto others, self-righteousness aside, the question that forever remains is whether their anger was born from a lack of compassion or simply their right to pass judgment - a resolve born of another coward's actions. So be strong, strong enough to show compassion to everything, and the entire universe will be in your debt.
I don't think the people I love are really people I love. I'm starting to see that how they take care of me and how aware they are of my feelings, are instead mistaken for compatibility.
There is a book that I have, and I am afraid to read it because once I do, it'll be read.
I have my clarinet and Chinese flute lessons side by side, and one is literally "why can't you just follow instruction? Play what it says on the score! Don't add in your own dynamics!" and the other is "the score doesn't say it but you have to add these things to bring out the proper flavour of the piece". Pisses me right off.
Flirting with madness was one thing; when madness started flirting back, it was time to call the whole thing off.

I bought a pair of Marley in-ear headphones. Apparently as a musician, I should invest in a good pair of headphones because I should be really picky about sound quality. Nevertheless I have bought these and the sound is very nice, especially with music that has that breezy sort of atmosphere - the headphones produce a slightly warmer tone. But it only seems to perform exceptionally well to a very specific type of music, otherwise it's pretty average with the exaggerated bass and everything. Fortunately Chinese orchestral music falls right into that genre.
I also am using an iPhone. I feel really hip and into it all.
Sometimes you just have to forget planning, throw it away. It's cool to be spontaneous. It's even cooler to not care. Planning just isn't that cool.
