Zach Varmitech Headcanons
There will be some angsty ones so beware. Everything will be under a read more as this post will be rather long. This may get edited later on if my headcanons change or if I get/make more.
NAME HEADCANONS
Zach's full name is Zachary Bennett Varmi.
Varmi-tech is just the company name which he adopted into his own identity.
The pronunciation is Var-Meh not Var-Mee. Thus getting the sound of Var-Meh-Tech in Varmitech instead of it being Var-Mee-Tech.
He prefers to be called Zach over Zachary. He doesn't really like the nickname Zachy/Zachy-boy. He finds it patronizing.
IDENTITY HEADCANONS
He is nonbinary but doesn't exactly care about what pronouns you use for him as long as you're respectful about it. He does like vampire themed neos though! Though he mostly uses He/Him or They/Them.
He is on the AroAce spectrum. He doesn't know where exactly on the aro-side but he is 1000% completely ace. He doesn't want anything to with.. y'know. He is interested in qprs (queer platonic relationships)
He is open to having poly and/or open relationships as long as he still gets enough attention and affection. He prefers poly over open but if it's open he doesn't usually look for other partners. Though he's not opposed to getting more (if his current partner is ok with it)
He is pan! (Still Aro though) He doesn't mind whatever gender his partners are. What matters to him is the shared connection.
He wouldn't want to be kissed often times though sometimes he might seek that out. Hugging, holding hands and cuddling would be more frequent within his relationships.
CHILDHOOD HEADCANONS
His parents weren't around much. When they were it wasn't a pleasant experience for him. Most of the time.
He didn't get a normal childhood, he was too different, to weird so the other children tended to avoid him unless to call him out on weird or 'wrong' behavior.
He was bullied for being weird and different.
His father was a scientist/inventor and used animals and sometimes even Zach for some experiments. This gave Zach the idea that using others as well as animals in the name of science/Inventing was a-okay! This also gave him his fear of animals.
His mother was a Criminology/Crime consultant. Often working in forensics and other similar things. Which gave him a pretty good understanding of the law and it's loopholes. Especially the ones used to get out of accountability for how his parents (mainly his father) treated him.
While Zach's mother was hardly better than his father she was there for him more. Given him a twisted sense of comfort and safety. Effectively creating a sort of Trauma bond to her. This is why at times of stress or anxiety Zach will call for her. (Although she wasn't much better to begin with)
MISC HEADCANONS
He is autistic with adhd.
He is 23 but will tell people, especially potential business partners he is older. (29-32) So he's taken seriously within the workplace.
He inherited the company from his father. Though the name had been different before (Varmi's Technoscience Industries) which he shortened down to Varmitech for convince.
Tomato soup isn't his favorite food, it's his favorite soup. Though it does change on occasion. (After eating too much of it)
His favorite food also changes. Sometimes it really is tomato soup, sometimes it's fried chicken, sometimes it's something else! Whatever food he is currently hyper-fixated on is his favorite. But after a while he needs a different favorite/comfort food.
A special interest of his is vampires/dracula. Which is why it's his go-to Halloween costume. He also relates to them. As going outside for too long causes him to get migraines.
He is a coffee addict. It's his favorite drink of all time. He prefers it over tea and the very idea of someone offering him tea before coffee is practically insulting to him.
He has chronic migraines and knee pain. Sometimes it gets so bad he just doesn't want to move.
When his legs fall asleep it makes it very difficult for him to walk, they go completely numb/unfeeling and sometimes he will even fall down. Forcing him to either have to be carried by his Zachbots, crawl on the floor or to just sit there until it goes away. (He prefers being carried by his Zachbots)
He likes to play Pokemon, DND, third person shooting games, and the like. Though, he gets easily bored of them and ditches them after a while only to pick them up again after a couple of months or years.
He is a comic, manga and manwha reader. He prefers physical books but will read webcomics and novels for convince. (And yes he will go see the adaptations for each if there is any! Regardless of its form ex: live action films, anime, etc.)
He is a picky eater. Does not like most textures and will avoid trying new foods. UNLESS it's made by gourmand (though often times he gets sick due to the texture because he physically cannot stand them)
He is an insomniac. Getting little to no sleep. At most he gets 2-3 hours but not necessarily at one time..
Some of his favorite foods make him sick either from texture or from them having lactose. (He's lactose intolerant). Though he eats them regardless, they are his favorites after all.
His eyesight is poorish but he refuses to get glasses because he "doesn't need them" (he definitely does. His eyesight gets splotchy)
He is an incredibly lonely man. Having someone that is genuinely there for him and cares would help. Though he is definitely touch avoidant and would only let people he is very close to touch him unless he initiates the physical contact first.
He used to have the fear of heights but with more exposure (his jet, tall buildings, etc) he got over it (mostly) he does take anxiety medication to help on particularly bad days.
He likes domesticated animals more than wild ones. Though bigger dogs still very much scare him (as well as angry Chihuahuas) he's more of a cat person.
His favorite colors are black, red and green. chartreuse being his favorite green.
He is a slight germaphobe. Though he isn't much of a neat freak. His private quarters, lab and office are pretty messy though if someone comes over he will quickly clean up to look presentable.
He has ASPD (antisocial personality disorder), NPD (narcissistic personality disorder), PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and MDD (major depressive disorder). Though these are UNDIAGNOSED and he is not getting treatment. He is unaware of them and his trauma.
Although having a rough homelife as a child he assumes it is a universal experience at least, to some degree. As he scoured online and found various threads of people complaining about childhood experiences they went through. (He never read the comments of the posts saying it's not normal, he only skimmed them)
Because he is a pretty picky eater he is very skiny and underweight. He likely has ARFID (Avoidant restrictive food intake disorder) though again, it's undiagnosed and ignored.
He gets auditory, touch and visual hallucinations. Though these are rare.. usually it's the feeling of bugs crawling on him. The voice of his father. Visual hallucinations are usually small like bugs and sometimes small reptiles.
He gets emotional flashbacks of past events/trauma but not visual ones. He doesn't know what causes them or what exactly they are.
He is prone to dissociation.
He has a disconnect from his emotions and finds it difficult to regulate them.
He has RSD (rejection sensitivity dysphoria).
