Show the gratitude that you owe

for the forgiveness this land does show

at your presence in this world of unity

It was the pause in chaos

that I realised

I could kiss you.

It was during the chaos

The music paused

And the wind held its breath.

You had me in your jaws,

I'd give you my essence

until none left.

Let us go somewhere

where nothing

can harm us.

But isn't pain our mentor?

The one that loves us? Protects us?

Then let us go somewhere

Our hearts are layered cakes.

Memories and emotions split with

Icing thick

Depending on the heart.

When you walk past the trees,

repeat the rustling sounds

their leaves make in the wind.

Stand in the stream

(It tries to take you)

And feel the water's thrashing power.

Sit in the light

(It tries to kiss you)

I shall never run dry of words

so I shall never run dry of pages.

Wrong!

A writer can be filled with words and

have no where to put them.

The world is so grey

hooking your presence into the earth.

Pulling you to the level we all rest upon.

Do you feel more stable? Now that you feel the love of the land?

Or

suffocated?

The buzzing hum that the night

seems to bring

are the screams of the stars

calling for you.

Our fingers stretch like roots.

Reaching for eachother.

There are no substitutes
