Again this is my personal take on color! It really depends on the situation and what you personally value, and in the end practice is your best friend.

I’m on a phone, so my response will be a little on the brief side. In brief, I agree. The IE games came out when RTSs were popular and most AD&D character classes (martial ones, specifically) had relatively basic options in combat. 3E started to give more classes more things to do and 4E continued that trend in a different way.

There are several reasons for this, but part of it is that if you’re playing a fighter or rogue (for example) as your main character, it can feel boring from round to round — more so in tabletop than CRPG, but the idea is similar.

As characters gained more meaningful options, they demanded more attention from the player. This is one of the reasons why Pillars I & II lean more heavily on slowing combat down and improving feedback.

We’re also in a time when RTSs are more of a niche market, so the microing skill set is less common among players than 20 years ago.

Yeah, they believe that later DnD editions also made every class far more fleshed out to make them more interesting instead of the wizard mostly having the wide array of abilities.

I know Pillars 2 introduced Tactics, which Dragon Age Origins and others have too to make combat less micro intensive. Though I haven’t been able to buy Pillars 2 yet (currently in the Thai army, will be discharged at the end of this month tho, hopefully in time for the Steam Sale :D )

Personally, I prefer Real Time games such as RTS (Company of Heroes 2 is my top 3 and most played game, I believe) as opposed to Turn Based (in general I prefer the ‘flow’ of real time combat in most games and I find it more ‘immersive’) but I do see the issue with managing 4-6 characters in Real Time w/ Pause. Yet  I’m seeing more modern RPGs  where you play as one character with no companions, party management or tactics at all like in the Witcher the Souls games and others trying to make Souls games. I don’t think many think of the real time with pause combat system in Dragon Age Inquisition as being something noteworthy, with the character, choices, and writing taking up the spotlight.

Maybe you can actually encourage her on how to improve on her own health, without being a screaming banshee that expects everyone to be a fucking perfect Mary-sue Barbie figure!

Your just making her want to go into a deeper depression where she wants to fucking kill herself!

Yes, obesity is a serious issue and I’m concerned about her health too but just simply just banning them from everything they enjoy is not going to fucking automatically improve on their weight! Try to at least encourage someone and try to take the time to watch them grow!

As much as I don’t like how society or the body positivity movement ignores health issues, I REALLY cannot stand people body shaming to make people feel bad about themselves just to lose weight! Your just making them not want to do shit at all!

Tbh, I’ve been body shamed in my life and I know others who have had it worse than me. Including my little sister who was pushed to being bulimic because people kept talking about her weight :(

And i wish body shamers would try to understand people who may or may not be comfortable about their weight, instead of freaking antagonizing and demonizing them. It may be genetic, it might be depression, they might not have time or opportunity to work out, maybe they dont have access to healthier food,  maybe they’re proud to be that way.

It’s frustrating and I feel the worst for those who are abused and bullied about their weight.

Let’s just say, it was Robert Smith’s birthday (he’s the vocalist of The Cure, one of my favorite gothic rock bands <3) and he just turned 57. It’s so odd that his birthday was also the day Prince had died and at age 57 too.O__O Aww man, another talented musician gone :( I hope Robert Smith can still live… So many good musicians are dying this year.

But anyways, I wanted to draw these two with one of my favorite songs from the band.

I’ll do this later, I need some sleep for an open book test tomorrow.

I wish what my teacher told me was an April Fool’s Prank… I really did, but he was serious.

If you ask its History II, and I can’t believe I was so careless to even double check with him! Thankfully, I’m passing with a B in the class…. BUT I just never done this shit before.

I mean, I’m not the best at tests but I still try and study so I can be ready to take them.

I literally started crying and panicking when I heard it was today. He gives others time to study before we take the test, but the thing is… I NEED AT LEAST MORE THAN ONE DAY TO STUDY BECAUSE I AM A SLOW LEARNER.

He didn’t seem harsh about it when I told him the truth, he’s going to talk to me about it after class.

Even if I knew it was Friday, this week was a very bad week to study things due to work and my sister being ill and I had to get other shit done for my other classes.

At least your professor seems understanding C: Hopefully he gave you an extra day. 

Funnily, I did miss one final exam last year because a.) Had a terrible headache and b.) I hated this guy XD I did manage to take the test after I had to call him while he was on a vacation (who goes on a vacation before the semester is over?) .

You know why people quote unquote “complain” about wanting more LGBT relationships in media? Because they want representation. They want to have a voice, an idol or just characters they can relate to because 99.99% of media is still straight where they either ignore gay relationships, censor them, or make fun of them

Please try to understand people’s views first. Ask why they would think and want that. And maybe even imagine you being a minority and watching (for example)  a cartoon where it’s  all strong men and some shy girls who are weak. Wouldnt you want to also make a post about wanting strong women characters? And imagine if everyone else told you to stop complaining.

That’s why minorities post stuff like that.

EDIT: And no, it’s not “Oh, they complain about straight relationships but also are the same because they like their own ships”. It’s not just WHO and WHO. But the gender and sexuality of the relationship too. It matters because i bet straight people would be turned off if Wander AND Sylvia were both men. Less people would ship that. I think you wouldnt ship that too.

Shows like Steven Universe or Wander over Yonder are either being cancelled or thrown into endless hiatus’ while absolute garbage like Teen Titans Go are constantly putting out new episodes with no break in the slightest

‘Adult’ animation has become an absolute joke with Mcfarlen-style humor cornering the market and now we’re getting a food orgy movie.

Established properties like Powerpuff Girls are given horrible treatment and the bare minimum of effort in order to get it out as fast as possible and ‘cut and paste’ style on the rise

Shows like Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents have been dragged out way beyond their time despite it being obvious they ran out of ideas years ago (Thank god Gravity Falls ended on it’s own terms)

Storytelling is practically dead at this point because it ‘doesn’t sell’ (Despite the fact we grew up with shows like Batman, Gargoyles, The Marvel series, ect)
