Yes, that was really a nice and satisfying conclusion to Padma’s storyline! It was reassuring to see how she managed to recover from her severe postpartum depression, and her character development in the final episodes was so uplifting. You could really feel for her. It was a bit disappointing that things didn’t work out between her and A.J., but the open ending leaves a lot of room for interpretation, giving the sense that they might still find their way back to each other. It added a layer of depth and realism to the story, showing that things don’t always go smoothly, but there’s still space for healing and personal growth 💕

A few days ago, I rewatched the film after having read the book (when I first saw it in theaters, I hadn’t read it yet). It’s interesting how differently you experience the film once you know the details and nuances of the book, even though some aspects of the plot are a bit different. The film is truly beautiful and well done, even though it can be quite emotional at times. One scene that really stood out to me, both in the theater and on my second viewing, is the one between Atlas and Lily. The moment when he encourages her, telling her she will overcome everything and be an amazing mother, was incredibly moving.
