I can't find a pulse My heart won't start anymore
@sgmwesters here we are again, with another scarvey / john x aubrey edit but this time with miss swift since you love her so much and all the new songs apply xoxo i love you
lostatseattleâ:
arizona began to reconsider asking for help. perhaps she ought to just go with things like she usually did - get in too deep before asking so that no one could say no to her. âi just need you to make a few arrangements. not even that- you just have to pick up the cake and go to the store with this receipt-â she rifled around in her pocket to find what she was looking for. âand the box in the trunk of my car. it was sofiaâs birthday present but itâs broken and callie told me not to buy it so she canât know itâs there and i checked your schedule so i know you can. twenty minutes. maybe thirty in traffic. please?â she smiled in a way that was supposed to be encouraging. a moment passed. âi will owe you one favour. one. and it canât be weird. or really difficult. or expensive. but one favour.â
mark takes the receipt and scans it, looking for a catch. arizona never asked for his help. âyou got my kid a broken toy?â he asked, definitely taking note of all the wrong things. partially to annoy the blonde. âi canât right now.â heâs decisive. âavery needs my help in the skills lab.â which wasnât entirely wrong. he couldnât allow his protĂŠgĂŠ to be average. âiâll get the cake. canât let you poison a kidâs birthday party.â he smirked. âi have an expensive taste, get used to it. sof will take after me.â and not after callie who had chosen her, said his eyes. he leaned in, speaking lower. âitâs two favours for the present. and i decide. and you canât get callie to save you out of it.â mark offered his hand. âdeal?â
continued from here. @sgmwesters
"definitely me." he answers truthfully. as much as he'd like to deny it, mark wasn't the best partner back then. or person, even. there were lots of things he had to work on himself before he could give himself fully to someone and not sabotage it. he dares to look addie in the eye. he knows what she means. given the choice, mark wouldn't go back in time. he loves his life and his family as it is right now. he wouldn't trade it for the world. "i always imagined she'd be just like you." part of him wondered if they could have it all, then, and now. he didn't entertain this thought often but anytime he was around addison with sofia, or any kid, it felt like a dream he once had. "i don't know about that. sofia makes it easy." he said with a smile, thinking of his child. her mothers also had a part in the matter, there was no denying it. "she'll make a great big sister." his blue eyes lingered on addie's for a little too long before he added, "and you'll make an amazing mom some day. i've always known it."
sgmwestersâ:
âof course it does.â gabriela loved her sister, but there were some things that she was better off staying out of. ignorance was bliss, and when luciana started her latest online venture, thatâs when gab took a slight step back from the details. at least diegoâs cousin was able to keep something of an eye on her. âand you think iâm going to have the key to all of your present problems?â she asked, still barely looking up from the file in her hand. she let the question hang for a second, too much of a perfectionist to now ignore the request. âwhen do you need it by? how long do i have to figure it out?âÂ
diego stared down at gabriela as if her rhetorical question wasnât so rhetorical. in the short time he had known her, there hadnât been a single thing she hadnât been able to fix or do for him. this wasnât an exception. he tilted his head, thinking of how long was until his tĂaâs birthday. âa week and half?â he tried his luck. âtwo weeks tops. you know how badly post office works.â

ââ âŚÂ CLOSED STARTER                 ft. diego rivera @seattlites
sofiaâs hands pushed deep into the pockets of her coat, body bracing for the cold chill that the seattle air brought with it at this time of year. she was a woman on a mission, for one of her most important tasks of the year.
she was putting up her christmas tree.
and that meant that she needed some particular supplies. her mother had always drunk the same christmas cocktail for the ceremonial putting up of the tree, one that sheâd also adopted as soon as she was able. sheâd always made them for her and diego as soon as she moved out of her family home, and had continued to make them even while she dressed her tree alone. unfortunately, sheâd come to the realisation that she was missing a key ingredient, and feeling like her tree couldnât go up without it, she was having to pop to the store to pick it up before any baubles could be hung in place.
bell rang out over the frame of the store as she pushed her way in, sending the clerk a polite smile as she moved to browse the shelves. be quick, sofia, she told herself, eyes scanning the shelves for the exact brand of vodka her mother had always told her to use for this exact purpose.
christmas had become a weird time for diego ever since the divorce. what was once a celebratory holiday had turned into a reminder of what life could've been and what it had turned out to be. when he first left for LA, it was easy to leave the holiday aside. it had been easier to not only pretend it didn't exist but also to walk away from his faith that was so heavy around christmas. only recently, with going back to his home city and celebrating with his family, had made diego try to reconnect with god. that was what christmas was all about. the essence of it all.
seattle had been a fresh start for him. and with it, some old traditions came back to life. one of them was setting up the christmas tree and have all the presents that he'd either take or mail to his nephews and niece. another one he couldn't shake off was sofia's christmas cocktail. the two go hand in hand regardless.
diego was already at the line to pay for his groceries when he realized he was missing the key ingredient. he excused himself and ran to the alcoholic bevareges aisle like an alcoholic. "sorry, may i? they're waiting for me-" he started as he reached a hand above the woman's head until his body froze on the spot.
there was no such thing as a coincidence, only god doing its work. that's what his cousin camila used to tell him growing up. "oh, hi." suddenly the firefighter didn't know how to speak. last time they had ran into each other had been at the hospital's christmas gala. he held his breath, giving up on taking the vodka bottle. "didn't realize it was you. how, uh, how've you been?"
sgmwestersâ:
despite the time that had passed, some things didnât change. but if youâd told addison a few years prior that this might be where sheâd end up, then she might not have believed you. there had been too many factors at play for her to consider that perhaps she might be happy in seattle, with the practice, able to share a bottle of wine with mark sloan. âthere are a lot of things i might have thought iâd never see.â she said, smile carving out on her face with the smallest of laughs. she paused, hand wrapped around her wine glass, gaze lingering on his face. âdo you ever think about how things could have been different?â she asked, a wave of nostalgia washing over her as her mind was flooded with memories. âhow else things might have turned out?â the mention of us went unsaid.Â
there was something about looking into addisonâs eyes that kept his attention. even in medical school, she had a way to keep him grounded. âsure i do.â he admits sincerely. honesty has come easily with age and specially around her. there was never a reason to be anyone else but himself around her. âwe could have had a great life back in new york.â he says without any intention of upsetting her, proven by his smile. âmost likely something wouldâve happened to ruin it.â he lets out a soft chuckle. what he means is that heâd probably find a way to hurt her had them stayed together. mark takes a sip of his glass and only speaks a few seconds later. he doesnât look quite in her eye. âdo you ever think about her? what sheâd be like?â itâs only after having sofia that those memories unlocked themselves in his brain. like an avalanche had been set in motion.
hello bitches i'm setting up my laptop from scratch so wanted to see who is lurking đ
sgmwestersâ:
sofia hadnât expected amelia to open up to her so quickly, if she was being honest. sheâd of course heard things through the grapevine ââ how could you not, when you worked at seattle grace mercy west? gossip was like a currency, especially amongst the other nurses, and learning things about the people you worked with came even if you didnât want it. sheâd never pry though, never want her friend to feel as though she had to tell her anything that she wasnât ready to talk about. everyone had their chapters they didnât talk about. sofia was no different on that front. âyeah, i heard.â there was a soft expression on her face, one that would have told amelia that this was a safe space if she wanted it. âthatâs ââ thatâs awful, amelia. iâm so sorry.â a hand reached for the others, giving a gentle squeeze. âitâs a horrible way to lose someone.â there was a pause of her own this time. âi lost my best friend in a fire. itâs not quite a fiance, and it was years ago now but ââ i know the hurt. i know how much it sits with you. so if you ever need to talk about it âââ the sentence practically finished itself.Â
amelia was surprised to learn about sofia. that she herself had lost someone close to her in a horrible way as she has. sometimes she thought she was alone in her grief, in her pain. like she was the only one in the world who kept on losing people. one after the other. knowing that sofia knew some kind of pain gave her some comfort, in a weird way. she smiled after the otherâs squeeze on her hand. âgrief never really leaves you, does it?â she knew it better than most. she had barely recovered from her dadâs death, let alone the new ones that she was trying hard to move past them. bottling up had never worked well for amelia. âi suppose it gives me a bit of comfort knowing heâs with christopher. that they have each other.â she looked down for a second, when she looked up, there were tears behind her eyes but she had a small smile on her lips. âiâm not religious. never was. maybe life had been easier if i had something to believe, you know? like all the pain and hurt was part of some grand plan.â she shook her head. the rest of her words got lost in het throat. she was learning to filter her thoughts before they left her mouth. âiâve ruined this girls night mood, havenât i?â
lostatseattleâ:
peterâs already-limited confidence faltered at her initial reaction. he opened his mouth to backtrack - only he didnât have to. his smile was immediate, but he dampened it down, not wanting to seem too eager. âif⌠if you want it to be a date. it doesnât have to be. but it could- it could be nice. fun. a fun date.â he swallowed back his nerves. âis that- is that something youâd be interested in?â
maggie couldnât hide her smile even if she wanted to. she liked peter. he was a good contrast to everyone at the fire house, a good reminder of who she was at her core. âonly if you want it too.â she played it safe, suddenly a bit scared that he could just take off his offer. she swallowed in dry and took a quick deep breath. âyes.â she reminded herself of bevâs advices. âyes, iâd like that. i get off tomorrow morning actually.â night shifts werenât as fun because peter wasnât working. thatâs how she knew his schedule. âpick me up at 8?â she suggested, unknowingly getting on her tip toes for a second as she looked him deep in the eye.

Walking in he frowned. âSwim lessons?â He raised an eyebrow. âHell, dad just threw us in the water and said good luck kids!â Justin laughed at the thought. âWhatever, if thatâs what Tommy wants then so be it but I still want to see my niece.â He smiled. Grabbing the beer from his sister he sat down. âNo, I didnât kill someone. My attending did.â
Brooke laughed, vivid memories flashing back. âPretty sure he ducked our heads in the water too.â Or maybe that had been Brooke to her siblings. Regardless, her daughter was clearly getting a special treatment when it came to the Walkers. âYou can stay for dinner, if you want.â She suggested, knowing damn well he wouldnât say no to food. She sat next to him. âHm, Iâm sure you helped.â She let out before taking a sip from her bottle. Then she remembered she had to play the big sister and comfort Justin. âWho was it? Hunt?â
sgmwestersâ:
juliette laughed along with holly, the coincidences of their lives seeming to add up more and more, not knowing that they were actually talking about the same person as if they were separate individuals. though not for long, with jules continuing to talk about bradley. âi donât know if we can figure anything out âââ she started, sighing as she thought about her latest conversations with him. âââ bradâs just good. and iâve been a lot worse than good to him, he just deserves a lot better, you know? better for him if i just stay away, probably.â she explained, though even she couldnât ignore the slight pang in her chest as she thought about it. her face morphed into one of slight surprise though, as she was filled in on the information sheâd missed out on since she and holly lost touch. âoh holly, iâm so sorry. do you mind me asking what happened? you guys seemed like you were set when i saw you together.â
âoh, câmon, jules, i donât believe you.â sure holly always saw the best in people so it was hard to imagine her friend being a bad influence on anyone. most importantly, she felt like she was still the same person she had connected with back at doctors without borders. âyouâre a good person too. a great person, actually.â she said with a convincing smile. âiâm sure if you allow yourself to be truly happy, heâll surprise you. brad, right?â the name didnât sit well with her. but there were a lot of brads... could be a short name for bradford? brady? her mind was racing with the likelihood of them talking about the same person.
âyeah, i, ahm, i thought so too.â she said with a sad smile. holly had created a whole life together in her head with harry for when they returned to the us. âhe was actually married.â a pause. âi took one of his calls by accident and found out he had a wife. waiting for him at home.â she sighed. âyou know i still believed him when he said they were going through some issues and he just didnât want to leave her without talking to her face to face one last time.â thinking about it still hurt like hell. she hadnât told anyone besides her family about her past and holly felt ashamed of it, not looking juliette in the eye.
lostatseattleâ:
if tommy wasnât so invested in figuring out where his- âaha!â he ducked down behind his work bench in the garage and retrieved the fallen saw. the smile of pride on his face lasted all of three seconds. âwhat? no. weâre not calling diego. heâll say some shit about how i should have went with his tree guy.â and probably laugh at his predicament. no. he could fix this just fine on his own. besides, he only needed one person giving him âi told you soâ eyes.
shaking his head, tommy approached the door into the house, stopping to face his wife in the doorway. he looked at her with the most arrogantly confident look he could muster. âi got this, babe. trust me.â a kiss on her forehead offered little reassurance as he went back to the living room to battle the tree stump. âyou can measure floor to ceiling.â since he was the one that made the mistake last time. âthen iâll just-â tommy made a noise imitating a clean cut, motioning towards the tree like he would simply be karate chopping off the offending piece of wood. the boyish glow in his eyes betrayed the fact he was more excited than he should be about this messy change in plans.Â
âbecause he had smaller trees?â brooke was too quick, set on dying on this hill of not needing a 7 foot tree. her serious look lasted all of five seconds until she semi melted under his kiss and rolled her eyes at how annoying he could be. times like this she remembered how stubborn he (they) could be, all the way back to sharing a lab table in biology class. like the one time he was dead set on the start hour for the ac/dc concert theyâd gone to as teenagers and they ended up missing half the show.
brooke followed her husband back inside, arms crossed over her chest as a sign of protest. âi trust you.â just not with this. her eyes got smaller as he explained his plan. âyouâre not going to chop off that tree in here. have you lost your mind? you didnât let me sleep for a week because of the stupid paint wall on the furniture but you want to go all lumberjack inside our living room?â to say she was shocked was an understatement. a complete contrast to his joy. âhold on,â she walked towards him, putting the palm of her hand on his forehead. âno fever. couldâve sworn you were delusional just about now.â
aeipcthysâ:
he glanced over at the moment her head laid on the desk, a chuckle escaping him. however, it was absent of joy. he was getting to her, even if just a little. he wanted to feel a sense of accomplishment in that, but internally, it seemed he wasnât as tickled by her turmoil as he thought. âquite the opposite, actually.â patrick remarked, snapping back in to their argument without missing a beat. âsaw my doc recently, turns out iâm in perfect health. beyond perfect, actually. they say i might live forever.â assuming that fed into some kind of worst-nightmare scenario for talia, he felt that was enough of a retort to her little digs. âyes, i bought it. me. as an investment, not as some pet-project for you to run away to and let sink into fucking puget sound.â he shook his head, hands on his hips as he let out a mocking breath. âand donât act like iâm the reason you ended up here, sweetheart. iâm not as dense as youâd like to make me out to be.âÂ
talia couldnât help but chuckle. not only would be her personal hell to watch this man live forever but it would be the downfall of many. âalways knew the world was doomed.â she quipped, now feeling comfortable in her seat. it wasnât every day she was in a position of power in relation to her husband. even if it was just an illusion that died really quickly. she could never have a win. âshould i go then? say the word and iâll go back home. in all seriousness, i would love to see you work to save your little investment for once.â they both knew he didnât work alone. he wasnât anyone on his own. whether it was his father and his legacy and name opening doors and connections or talia doing the dirty work behind doors, patrick hadnât worked a day in his life without someone elseâs help. âoh, really? enlighten me, then, patrick. why have i moved out of my home, miles away from my son if not forced by your twisted brain?â again, she could never stay on top. her years of practiced patience came crumbling down when she was backed into a corner. patrick was very good at putting her between a sword and a wall.
brokenrollercoasterâ:
âJesus.â She jumped. âNo, Iâm not hiding from anyone. Iâm studying.â When Amelia gave her a proposition she set the file down to listen to her. âIâm listening.â She wiped her hands off. âWhat do you have?âÂ
âAn inoperable glioblastoma.â She said immediately with a grin. Amelia wasnât very good at keeping secrets, no one was surprised. âWell, not exactly inoperable. Just by surgeons who are too afraid to take a risk and win. Either way, I have a patient flying from Texas and we are going to remove it all. If youâre up for the challenge, that is.â

sheâd thought she had been doing the right thing at the outset ââ one last good deed for thomas, to make sure his family the sort of happy memories he wanted them to have before passing. but now, she was stuck. derek had stepped up and done the impossible. âi just donât want to have to be ââ unable to live my life, just because they were able to save his.â she felt selfish to the core, but she knew she had every right to do as she wanted, even if she did just need a nudge from olivia to do it. âiâm not sure heâd ever talk to me again.â jason. âplease tell me you have something far less dramatic to talk about?âÂ
"you deserve your life back, millie.â she was as serious as she felt. if there was anyone in this world that olivia would do anything to make them happy would be her best friend. âand youâve done what he asked. itâs his time to give back, if you ask me.â it sounded pretty reasonable to her. âare you kidding me? heâs a man, love. theyâre not built to be difficult.â she took a sip of her wine. âthereâs plenty of boring talk when it comes to finances. do you want the latest budget cut for the surgical unit or should we talk about how iâm so much closer to murder patrick vanderbilt? the prick wants to name the hospital after him. cna you believe that?â
lostatseattleâ:
wyatt & eleanor au @seattlitesâ
âwyatt?â eleanor called into the empty hallway of his house. she had a habit of letting herself in. at least she knew he was home this time, his car was outside and the door had been unlocked. in her arms, she held on tightly to a huge cardboard box. the second she made it to the living room door, she set it down with a heavy sigh. âyou should really lock the door when you get home. i could be a thief! or a murderer.â a pause. âi guess i would have to be able to find you to murder- wyatt! where are you?â
she took it upon herself to wander around the house, straightening ornaments and paintings to her liking in the process. ânani sent a care package, i have to give you half!â meaning she had taken out all the good things and left him with the bare minimum; but that was how it had always worked. âi took carterâs car, i need to get it back soon. iâm parked⌠semi-legally.â
wyatt had always been a romantic. from the barely existent relationships throughout high school and college to meeting the love of his life, it was who he was. probably highly influenced by the film choices of his little sister and not being able to say no to her but it had shaped him into the man he was today. mia however was everything he never thought he deserved. she was intelligent, ambitious, good looking and smoaking hot. she was the complete package and he wondered every day what he had done to be so lucky.
but things lately felt a bit off. he wanted more and she... well, she was a work in progress. nothing that a romantic night in wouldnât solve, wyatt thought. he didnât even noticed someone getting inside as he was upstairs finishing decorating their room with rose petals and nice candles. luckily he was hesitating lighting them, worried the house would catch on fire. he was clumsy enough for that. how embarrassing if he had to call 911 before his wife had made it home. when he heard noise downstairs, that thought left his mind. âdonât come upstairs! close your-â only as he ran down the stairs did he noticed the woman in his house was not his wife. âany thief wouldnât make this much noise.â even if he loved his sister and often put her wellbeing before his own, he was still the oldest. he took one of the wedding frames from her hands before she could put it face down as she usually did. âyou couldâve just called. we both know thereâs nothing there thatâll go bad.â he was more awkward than usual and switched his weight from one foot to the other as he opened the box. exactly. âwhat happened to your car?â he looked down on her, semi judging her. sharmas were simply not good drivers.
