MOTHERLY /

red  painted  lips  form  a  wide  smile  as  she  pulls  away  from  zeus’  neck  ,  eyes  lingering  on  the  marks  left  by  lipstick  ,  which  she  thumbs  at  gently  in  hopes  to  erase  them.  ocean  eyes  lock  onto  his  and  her  smile  turns  to  a  smirk  while  her  hand  slides  down  to  the  king’s  crotch  ,  fingers  pulling  on  his  belt  and  bringing  their  hips  together.  the  goddess  kisses  him  briefly  and  cups  his  cheek  ,  heartbeat  picking  up  upon  feeling  him  so  close.   ‘  i’m  all  yours  ,  love.  ’

        every  movement  of  malachi’s  hips  against  hers  draws  out  gasps  from  pink  wet  lips  as  her  back  arches  up  from  the  bed  ,  hands  grasping  for  his  hair  and  bringing  him  close  ,  closer.  shivers  go  up  her  spine  when  lust  filled  words  are  whispered  and  she  cannot  help  her  smile  as  she  tugs  on  black  hair  gently  and  begins  to  move  her  hips  against  malachi’s  ,  feeling  him  deeper  ,  until  desperation  fills  her  and  thetis  pushes  him  down  on  the  bed  so  that  she  could  be  on  top.     ‘  good …  that  feels  so  good.  ’     thetis  takes  hold  of  his  cold  hands  and  places  them  on  top  of  her  breasts  ,  head  thrown  back  as  she  bounces  slowly  ,  heat  filling  her  despite  the  coldness  of  malachi’s  skin.

oh   ,   her  embrace  like  the  lulling  sea.     safe  carapace  that  fills  him  with  bubbling  glee.     his  mother   ,   his  sweet  mother   ,   he  loves  and  loves  and  loves.     he  used  to  dream  about  swimming  beside  her   ,   for  as  long  as  he  could   ,   unwinding  in  her  companionship.      ❛     he  is  !  but  he  doesn’t  like  death  and  war   ,   prefers  to  study  about  herbs  and  medicine  instead.     ❜     he  is  beaming   ,   like  the  sun  high  in  the  sky   ,   radiating  pure  warmth.     ❛     maybe  i’ll  ask  him  to  come  to  see  you  with  me  someday.     is  that  okay  ?     ❜

 ‘ 𝖎   𝖍𝖆𝖉   𝖓𝖔𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖌   𝖕𝖑𝖆𝖓𝖓𝖊𝖉.    ‘     𝖜𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖊    𝖎𝖈𝖊   𝖑𝖆𝖞𝖘   𝖕𝖊𝖗𝖕𝖊𝖙𝖚𝖆𝖑𝖑𝖞,   𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓   𝖈𝖗𝖆𝖈𝖐𝖘   appear,   the    warmth   that   brims   in   thyne   veins   melting   the   thin      coating    on   thyne   lips,   the   still   flakes   in   thyne     eyne;   the   frosted   ocean   morphing   into   a   tranquil,   moonlit   sea.   svelte   fingers,   graceful   even   now,   caress   her   hair,   the   nape   of   her   neck.   this,   a   moment   where   the   clock   stops   it   steady   &   unforgiving   beat,    where   time   stands   still,   suspended,   holding   its   breath,   waiting   for   the   bubble   crafted   from   love   &   warmth   &   happiness   to   burst,   waiting   to   swallow   the   scattered   pieces   &   devour   it   whole   ‘til   it   is   just   another   memory   in   the   sea   of   memories.   (   not    yet.   ) ‘   what   do   you   have   in   mind?   ‘

   shivers  come  alive  on  her  skin  as  he  caresses  her  hair  and  nape  ,  a  sentiment  that  ease  her  into  his  embrace.  how  peaceful  it  is  to  be  loved  ,  to  feel  safe  when  all  she’s  known  was  fear   ---  there  are  days  when  this  curse  grips  her  again  and  drowns  her  sanity  in  paranoia.  it  takes  malachi’s  touch  to  remind  thetis  that  there  is  nothing  to  fear  ,  not  anymore.     ‘  what  do  you  think  about  travelling  again ?   wherever  you  want.  i’m  getting  restless  in  this  city.  ’   ocean  eyes  look  up  to  find  him  as  her  finger  slowly  traces  his  neck  ,  feeling  the  small  bump  before  it  rests  on  malachi’s  clavicle.    ‘  we  could  start  looking  at  cruise  ships . . .  or  trains  towards  wherever  you  would  like  most.  ’    a  silent  plea  can  be read  in  her  tone  ,  as  she  learnt  to  not  be  as  demanding  anymore.    ‘  i  want  to  be  anywhere  in  the  world  with  you.  ’

     ❛     please,     ❜      zeus scoffed, eyes rolling.   it might seem that one of his proclaimed grandeur might be well-accomplished in all fields, but that was far from the truth.   he had his flaws much as anyone else would.      ❛     i am not good at everything.   i just pretend that i am, and it’s worked out well enough for me as of yet.     ❜

    zeus went quiet for a moment, contemplating her request as he continued to play.   he knew that his voice was up to standard, capable of carrying a tune and even performing more difficult bars with skill.   but he was nothing like the nereids, or the muses, and found a strange sense of embarrassment because of it.      ❛     i…   do not sing much.   feels like a waste when there is talent like you around.   but i suppose could sing for you now, if you’d like     ❜

it’s  incredible  watching  him  unfold.     everyday  thetis  sees  parts  of  zeus  that  she  didn’t  have  the  luxury  of  knowing  in  the  past.  he  is  like  the  sky  ,  revealing  his  colours  day  by  day  ,  showing  her  millions  of  clouds  ,  leaving  her  breathless  with  his  beauty.  the  nymph  smiles  upon  hearing  his  confession  and  she  can’t  help  herself  when  her  arms  wrap  around  his  waist  ,  head  resting  on  his  shoulder.
