some psychedelic photoshop experiments i designed... the source images were appropriated from google image searches and not taken by me (i didn't keep track of where they came from, so i can't properly attribute them, unfortunately)... 

while doing research for an architectural design project, i came across a wonderful film about artist and geometer RON RESCH, appropriately titled The Ron Resch Paper and Stick Film. it chronicles Resch's explorations in paper folding, stick framing and computer programming in creating beautiful polyhedrons and elaborate collapsible domes, among other forms. 

this serves as a remarkable reminder that between the mind-blowingly large and the unfathomably small, there we are, snuggled and cozy right in the middle... 

patatap is an interactive music and animation site created by JONO BRANDEL and LULLATONE that let's users create samples-and-beats-style music and whimsical abstract animations, all by simply tapping on your computer keyboard... it's a very cool synesthetic experience, as well as an easy way to lose hours of your day...

bought this awesome 1960's MAGIMATIC MAGICUBE camera on the street in the tenderloin for 3$... plan on taking more film pictures... need to find some 126 film cartridges...

i really enjoy the challenge of creating complex works of art in seemingly inhibiting environments and with skeletal resources... those kinds of circumstances can really bring out the best of creativity and innovation...

closeup shots of the bass synthesizer prototype... those blue pieces with the white tops are the trim pots which allow for fine tuning of the individual notes...

prototyping the 1 octave chromatic bass synthesizer i’m building… it’s a very simple design, using just a 555 timer integrated circuit and a couple resistors and capacitors… i will hack the keyboard from a broken toy synth… everything seems to be working so far, though the pitch still is a little unstable… hoping to add a low pass filter to it as well… very excited…
