Being against a movement does not mean you are against the overall message of it. There can be various reasons for why a person doesn’t back a particular movement.
It goes against my beliefs in equality movements. I believe that any equality movement that doesn’t aim to unite the whole community will dissolve into a hate movement. In this case, I believe BLM is on a clear path of becoming a black supremacy movement. Just as white supremacy is bad, a black (or any other race) supremacy movement should not be supported. Recent events are showing this is well on its way of happening with BLM. Terry Crews warned of this happening and he was called slurs and attacked. Not long after, Nick Cannon did exactly what he warned would happen and he was only called out for anti-Semitism comments, not his anti-white message.
BLM is filled with unchecked anti-Semitism and needs to be addressed. Another key element of becoming a race supremacy is by believing your race is better than others and actively targeting others. Being a Jew is more than just following the religion, it is why it is possible to see atheist Jews, for instance. There have been numerous cases of BLM targeting and trying to prove they are superior to Jews. Not a lot of comments have been made on this behavior, which will only enable further actions from them.
Source One: A collective of BLM activists targeted a private Jewish school. They claimed they targeted this school because it has a history of “inception, early exclusions, culture of whiteness and wealth hoarding, its tolerance of Zionism, and its parasitic relationship to Baltimore City.”
Source Two: A group of BLM rioters vandalized a synagogue. Not much can be said for this one as the pictures can speak for themselves.
Source Three: BLM rally turned into a progom in LA, but it was reported as a “mostly peaceful protest” by most/all Left-wing media. One Rabbi compared it to the Kristallnacht because of how bad it got.
Source Four: The issue surrounding Terry Crew’s warning and Nick Cannon proving him right. Not much needs to be said about this as it’s been repeated numerous times, but a source has been provided.
Another case of racism, but this time to white people. As mentioned above, a supremacy movement needs to target a race and it needs to believe they are superior than a race (but more so for this point). Believing you are superior to one is bad enough, but two? This is a growing issue within the BLM groups that desperately needs to be addressed.
Source One: BLM demanded white people specifically give up their homes. Imagine how you would feel if white people as a whole told you and others of your race specifically had to give up your homes. You’d be upset and say that is racist, yes?
Source Two: Toronto’s BLM founder called white people “subhumxn” and genetically inferior to black people. This is, without a doubt, a racist comment. Really recommend reading over this source because it goes a bit deeper than what is generally known.
Source Three: Jessica Whitaker. She was killed by BLM supporters because she said she supported ALM.
Source Four: BLM rioters killed a Trump supporter and cheered over his death, calling for more white people to be killed.
Source Five: BLM supporters have been filmed screaming “Fuck white people” at an elderly couple.
The founders of BLM are communists. I am against communism as a whole. I absolutely believe this will bring the fall of America and it has shown to be a failed system time and time again – look to North Korea, they recently had to outlaw owning dogs as pets because the nation is starving under communism. The founders of BLM have come out as “trained Marxists”. Now, being a Marxist is one thing, but “trained Marxist”? That makes me even more wary over them. What does “trained” entail here? Regardless, under moral principles, I don’t want to support a movement started by a known Marxist – they’re as bad as a Nazi. Here’s a source that goes over the founders being trained Marxists.
BLM’s message is inaccurate and selective. It implies all black people matter, but they only target and raise up black people who have been killed by a white police officer. It is why David Dorn and Horace Anderson Jr. never received spotlight and attention from any of the BLM founders. Their deaths, while unfortunate, have shown a sinister side of BLM. Deaths only matter to them when they can push forward a narrative.
Other minorities are being drowned out under this movement. Just as BLM argues they experience distinct issues within a community, the same argument can be applied to other minorities. The large focus on only BLM has caused these minorities to fall behind in the community as politicians only focus on BLM (mainly to acquire votes). In order to work around this, BLM should have been a movement to unite all people against police brutality rather than racializing this issue. A true community aims to improve all, not select groups and “hope this will help the others”.
This point also brings me back to my first point. It paints America in a literal “black and white” narrative, but this is vastly inaccurate. America is much more than just black and white people; we have people of all sorts of racial backgrounds. This only encourages a “us vs. them” mentality rather than pulling the community together to fight against an unjust system.
BLM forces itself into separate issues. LGBT+ is a major example of this. Our issues are separate and should be treated separately from the issues BLM supposedly tackles – police brutality against black people. By this logic, it should have no room in the LGBT+ community and what we already aim to tackle. We are united not by race, but by sexuality in the LGBT+ community.
The race pride flag is also disrespectful to the original creator of the pride flag. A lavender stripe was added to the pride flag by the original creator shortly before his passing and is meant to represent uniting all races and not just minorities. Adding on to that, not all minorities have black or brown skin as depicted in the race stripes, which is exclusive and racist to them.
This point also discredits BLM’s intent on fighting against police brutality and adds on to point 5. When others make the argument of black on black crime, it is usually swept under with comments about how “BLM fights against police brutality against black people”. Then BLM has no place in LGBT+ spaces, just as the LGBT+ community has no place invading BLM spaces.
BLM doesn’t donate to improve black majority communities, but rather, it donates to the Democrat party. Source One. Instead of putting their money to good use, they decide to fund a party who has proven to be racist (source two) and supports imprisoning black people for crimes she, too, “proudly” committed. Source Three. Source Four.
Adding onto this point, BLM has used money to bail out looters and other rioters who have actively caused direct harm to primarily black communities. Rather than putting the money to good use by those impacted by the poor decisions of others and building up their community, they decide to bail out lawbreakers.
