Max and Lucas bought a house in Cali about a year before their marriage. They have a dog and a tarantula who Mike is deadly afraid of, so whenever Will and Mike come to visit them and Max finds Mike annoying she will just runs after him all around the house with it, while Lucas and Will are trying to breathe through laughter watching them.
When Mike is hiding behind Will on the couch, trying to catch his breath, Will asks Max to hold the "cutie" because "it looks so fluffy" and Mike is staring at him with pure terror in his eyes.
After they settle down a little bit and Will gets to pet the "fluffy thing with too many legs" as Mike calls it, Will asks if he would be okay with also getting one when they return home. Mike looks at him in horror and disbelief.
“You actually want this thing in our house?” His eyes wide open.
“I mean, yeah? It’s kinda cute. Please? We got the cat you wanted,” - Will is Shadows favourite, but that’s not the point - “it’s not gonna hurt you, I promise, it’s just a tiny bushy nubble”
“Will, you are the love of my life and I would literally die for you without hesitation but we are not having this crawling being in our house.”
They end up getting one immediately after coming back.
Eventually, Mike finds a way to communicate with it pretty well due to the lack of quality thoughts in both of their heads.
