More adventures in learning digital art techniques and attempting to design 100% digitally with this cat palm fern vase. The first iteration of this has a little mouse. Truth be told, I'm a hands dirty analog soul and I think that unfortunately shows, but it's been good for me to learn new things.

It's the new school Flo-rodeo!!! I drew this underwater scene of an overwhelmed cowboy blue crawdad lassoing an angry largemouth bass bumping into a bashful sea cow manatee for my sleeve design assignment in color pencil. It was fun. I laughed the whole time I worked on it. This is on a huge sheet of paper! I'll have to post myself holding it for scale.

This was a surprise assignment from my mentor--a full color coverup of the previous week's assignment. It was super challenging, especially since I sprayed the tomato drawing with fixative, making the waxy prismacolors an even slicked surface to try to draw over. But I persevere. And the feedback I received from the final product really taught me a lot!
