To Carry On Chap. 11 with an impromptu anatomy lesson and Krillin being very touchy was adorable af, and I had to draw it

This one was very fun to work on, and I got to try out a ‘night vision goggle’ type shading, and the challenge of working with just monochrome except for the light was interesting!! Messing around with perspective and rendering metal bars was fun too.

@rmjagonshi made you another piece!! Really loved that chapter 1 sunrise scene and went a little ham. I couldn’t really figure out their posing and kept experimenting with different angles, but decided on a front face and just dealt with the floatiness.

Went searching in To Carry On to see what variation of colors Piccolo has, and couldn’t really find any concrete ones besides the color of his sash/belt, so I went with his colored manga/movie colors. I really like how the gold and red ties him to Shenron and the Dragon clan vs the pink, even if the pink is more iconic and memorable. Green man looks good in gold and red, sue me. If there is in fact mention of his arm thing colors and I missed it that’s on me.

Anyway! Working on the colors and the BG is a little slow going bc I’m still unfortunately healing and have to walk around, but it’s better than the very first day, so that’s a plus for me!

I done fucked up and haven’t been able to draw or post jackshit bc I herniated a disc, and I cannot sit down with it for longer than 25 mins. BUT! I managed to finally find a way, and will try to work on this more going forward, as well as any others I have in the works.

Somehow I’ve returned to Dragon Ball.

Maybe it’s the VHS of the Majin Buu Saga I have, maybe it’s the memories of the fanfiction of Goku/Vegeta I would devour in school when I should’ve been learning. Maybe it’s Krillin.

Fanart WIP for Chapter 4 of To Carry On by RavenMJagonshi over on AO3. I found this fic a little while back when it only had 5 chapters, but I came back after a while and found it had MORE! >:D and the art bug has gotten me bc it’s a really good fic, and honestly makes me cry in some parts. I need these two to kiss more I swear to god I caN’T BE THE ONLY ONE PLEA- anyway. The way they write grief and the slow buildup and the flashbacks even just hurts my heart so much. It’s so good pls go read it
