We haven’t been using this platform very often, BUT we wanted to ensure everyone heard the great news!

We’ve announced our 2017 Fringe Festival dates (September 27th - October 1st) AND as you will note, added a fifth day to the festival schedule (vs our standard four day celebration). An extra day at a Fringe is an extra day of theater, music, dance, comedy + much more!

Scranton Fringe is dedicated to creating an accessible & engaging platform of the performing arts for audiences & artists alike! ALL are welcomed to submit to our uncensored festival (applications open February 10th).

We value diversity, bold choices and creativity in all its forms. Our goal of empowering underserved voices is shown in such special programming as our annual Big Gay Scranton Storyslam, a celebration of the LGBTQA+ community and its allies.

Mollie Edsell was our featured musician at our fundraiser/artists mixer at POSH at the Scranton Club. Along with inspired poetry and magic, this lovely voice graced us all by kicking off the night. It was a great, very fringey night!

This is looking at the world with a pothole half full mentality.

The Pop Up Studio in Scranton, Pennsylvania is having a little fun with their weather woes. Pothole pop up is a contest that encourages residents to get creative and “positively fill negative space.”

"It’s a bonding experience, if you live in Scranton, to run over a pothole and bust a tire," Ruth Koelewyn of the Pop Up Studio told NBC. “We want to turn it into a positive thing.”
