i don't think i have DID but i do exhibit symptoms due to having been severely fucked up by my parents' divorce which occurred at a time before i could form memories. for my entire life up until the moment my dad found my estrogen and kicked me out i had been acting as disparate characters: the aloof, disrespectful brat spoiled by an indifferent mother, and the diligent christian boy terrified of a father who spanked him with wooden objects. i've since had an excess of painful gender transitions.

and of course my dad would spank me for shit that i didn't do or minor misunderstandings. i used to downplay the severity of my trauma because boo hoo at least it's not a belt buckle but no this shit really messes with childhood development and lasts forever
