First off, I want to give a huge thanks to everyone that reached out yesterday with words of encouragement and advice. It means so much to me and the pop ups from you all during my work day made me cheer up quite a bit. Even though we’ve never met and we are simply followers of each other’s tumblrs, having so many of you reblog or message back was incredibly heartwarming. So thank you, all of you!!

Today is a race day!! 6.2 miles of fun, although I am shooting for a PR here so I’m not doing the dress up part too much. But I’m super excited because not only will I have friends running with me for the first time, but my boyfriend is running it too! He’s been a real trooper through all of this, from my constant 70.3 training, odd work schedules and busy days, and now my changing dietary needs. He may be more excited than I am for this race. We have beautiful weather, hardly no wind, sunny, and mid 50…a perfect day.

It’s a new day. Embracing the “not so normal but normal for me” life and just moving forward. No one said that a big race or life would be easy but I’m just going to try and take things in stride and keep going.

Perfecting this mindset to keep in the positivity and optimism and letting go of any negative thoughts! 32 days left til race day and even though I’ve had set backs, I know I can do this! 30 possible training days left to continue to hone all 3 disciplines and get a strong mentality to keep going
