Inexperienced Omega Homelander who offers to help Butcher with his rut. Billy agrees to it for some reason. Homelander gets completely overwhelmed (and overstimulated) but he still tries his best to be a good rut partner. He makes sure Billy eats something during lull times of his rut even if Billy complains that his cooking is either bland or burnt. Homelander checks if Billy’s well hydrated. He tries making a nest but it doesn’t soothe the alpha because Homelander hasn’t had much practice making a proper nest.

Homelander is giddy that he gets to act like the ideal omega housewife. He’s had this fantasy since presenting as an omega but was forced to suppress it alongside his other instincts when he debuted as a hero. At least he gets to indulge in it with a no strings attached set up. He’s sure Billy wouldn’t remember anything and if he did, he’d never want to speak of this again anyway.

Them being them, however, the omega gets pregnant outside his heat. This shouldn’t be possible. He’s been on suppressants since his debut which he thought would make him infertile by now. If there was any chance, it should’ve been during his heat, when omegas were most fertile.

The pregnancy would be risky for many reasons so having the reassuring presence of his alpha is important. He tells Billy who recoils at the very thought of having a pup (which is rooted in his trauma of having a bad father) especially a pup with Homelander. Regardless of whether Billy is a supe not, Homelander doesn’t force him because the alpha’s constant rejection would be worse for the pup. He settles for stealing Billy’s stuff for his nest. Because he’s ran out of a month’s worth of clothes and due to Ryan’s insistence, Billy visits Homelander.

Billy takes in the sorry state of the place. The nest, if it even be called that, is in disarray and overall just doesn’t look right. The dining table is full of all sorts of takeout and junk food. There’s unopened and partially opened packages of all sorts of baby things. There’s a chart showing the pre-natal care the omega is supposed to take showing that he’s behind for some of them with one that just has ‘???’ next to it because he cant remember the last time he took it.

Billy hears retching from the comfort room so that was probably where the supe was. He starts gathering the belongings he can see and when Homelander steps out of the comfort room, Billy’s heart clenched at how tired and miserable the supe looks. He internally berates himself for feeling sorry for Homelander and squashes the feeling down by running his mouth. He comments on how the omega isn’t even keeping up with his pre-natal vitamins to which the supe quietly replies that its cause he can’t keep them down long enough to know.
