it doesn’t take a long period of time for rory to accept the terms that her previous snapchat conversation with salem wasn’t digesting well. friendship was one of the things the brunette held close to her heart, but of course, it was different with salem. their bond throughout high school to now was something rory never truly experienced before, and if it was going to end at all, it had to at least be discussed. losing salem wasn’t even considered an option to rory, so it’s why she’s arriving to her new apartment shared with her fiance at two in the morning, dressed clad in sweats and an oversized hoodie, hawaiian pizza occupied in the hand that wasn’t knocking abruptly upon the door. ‘ i know you’re not sleeping yet, so open up and talk to me ! i’ll scream-sing every lyric of mamma mia if i have to ! ’ it’s an empty threat, considering arlo’s manhattan apartment carried many more rules and regulations as opposed to salem’s in brooklyn, but it wasn’t a shocker that rory was already making a mess of things not even an hour after landing in new york. @sclemisms

snip, snip. it was a horrible trait to have, but in the great scheme of things perhaps the most useful one, she stayed mad at tahani for months at a time, she left arlo in the middle of the night and never looked back. and now she only said she didn’t want to talk, but it felt already big enough when salem and rory’s biggest argument ever was whether brooklyn nine nine was better than how i met your mother or not. still she called it a night, ready to put the phone away and get into bed until she heard the incessant knocking, rory’s threats sounding louder than ever in the quiet building as salem’s bare feet crossed the whole apartment until she got the door. ❝ would you shut up ?? ❞ salem groaned the second she saw the brunette on the hall,  ❝ arlo’s sleeping and i’d like to be here a least a week before Ms. Brady starts complaining about me. ❞ she added, knowing not even she had purposely disturbed arlo’s neighbors at that time of night. eyeing the box rory brought, she reached for it,  ❝ hawaiian ? ❞ she questioned almost knowingly before opening the box, taking a slice out of it as she walked towards the living room, letting rory walk in if she wanted to.

SALEM: i just said to forget about it!!!! SALEM: sure but they’re either attached to the building or the people in it, it can’t be both SALEM: that’s a long ass list SALEM: i’m not, but whatever, i don’t even wanna talk anymore, i should just go to bed SALEM: you can actually

SALEM: yeah well maybe i’m tired of being there for people and then them not being there for me when i need them!!
