the urge really is just the single craziest work of literature ever written. i know we say this all the time and have been for more than a decade but like. it’s so crazy. for dan to write something so heartwrenchingly vulnerable and revealing that kind of makes me feel like im being kicked in the ribs every time i remember the line about not wanting to go to the funeral bc friends & family could never understand what he and phil had cause it was Personal. and at the same time. for dan to write something that is just like “Well if phil were to be a hot evil vampire i think it would be really awesome for him to pin me to a tree and maybe choke me a little and get really really close and our noses would touch and i’d be like omg nooo don’t turn me into a vampire and he’d be like i want you to join me and then i’d struggle but he’d overpower me and turn me anyway and his vampire instincts would want him to drain me but he’d resist because he wouldn’t hurt me not really and then he turns me into a vampire and the next day i wake up shirtless– don’t worry about that part– well that would just be neat. :)” Like god no one has ever done it like him. nobel prize.

i think a lot about the end of wdapteo 2 when dan said thank you for tolerating my presence and phil said thanks for treating us with your presence. about all the times he’s told him on camera to be kind to his past self. i’ve said it before but phil is so gentle but clear about wanting dan to be kinder to himself. and it seems like dan seeing how much phil loves all versions of him has at least helped dan in his personal self image and love journey.

i am so obsessed with the way dan and phil perform a whole ass song every tour when it has absolutely nothing to do with their regular content and neither of them are particularly vocally trained. like they really woke up one day when writing tatinof and said fuck it
