“we can't keep them” “but look at them! they're so cute!” taeyong sighs while laying his eyes on the floor. he tries to avoid looking at the two kittens sleeping on your rug knowing that if he does, he won't be have the heart to say no.

“we both have very tight schedules... and honestly I don't know if the guys will want to have a cat going around the dorm...” he responds. you get up from the bed you are both sitting on and walk behind him, you take his head between your hands and direct it so that he is looking in front of him. he sighs.

“honey, there's nothing I wouldn't do to make you happy but I don't know... a pet is a living being. it would be cruel to adopt one just for the sake of having it”

you both stare at the furry beings that are now awake and playing with each other.

“you could adopt one of them” he says after a while.    “but I don't want to separate them” you respond and then sit on the floor with the kittens one of them climbs to your lap and you stroke its head, right behind its ears. taeyong can feel his heart melting. maybe he could talk with his members or his manager. wayv has several pets and dream has daegal now, even if she lives with chenle.

his thoughts get interrupted by a soft feeling on his ankle. he looks down and his sight is greeted by a small grey figure. he leans down, picks it up and brings it to his face. you watch your boyfriend's moves carefully and smile when the kitten licks the tip of his nose. his eyes flutter because of the tingly sensation and that’s when he makes up his mind.

you feel ecstatic. it’s like time had stopped for a moment and your soul had left your body, like you were in heaven. but of course, everything has to come to an end, you now had to leave your little paradise and go back.

you both take your stuff and get in. because of the ungodly hour it is, there is almost no one  inside. you link your arm with younghyun's and practically cling to him for the whole trip.

it is not until you’re halfway to your destination that he notices that you fell asleep cuddling against his arm, he looks at you with pure adoration in his eyes, thinking you’re the cutest person he’s ever met.

“god, i need you so bad” jae moaned against your lips. there were books, notebooks and pieces of paper scattered around the floor of your bedroom.

you were sitting on jae’s lap. his hands were on your hips to help you grind against him while your hands were in his shoulders. his lips travelled from your lips to your neck and then to your shoulders.

the door of your room opened in a matter of seconds allowing you to see your mother. both you and jae quickly turned your heads to the sound of the door opening and looked at your mother. “everything ok?” she asked. “yeah” your voice came out in a whisper so you had to repeat yourself. she looked at you and scanned your room, all of the stuff you had on the floor and finally her eyes landed on jae’s figure. “everything’s fine” he said with a smile and a friendly tone.

your mother smiles back. “honey can I talk with you for a second?” she said looking at you. you got up and followed her outside your room. “what’s the matter?” you asked. your body and voice were relaxed but on the inside you were almost sure you could hear your heartbeat.

“i’ve told you thousands of times— every time a boy is with you in your room, you have to leave the door open.” she said, her voice tinted with a bit of annoyance “understood?”

“yep” you answered with a small smile “can i go now? we’re still behind in the writing of the essay”

your mom nodded and you turned around to get back in your room. you say in front of jae and signaled him to keep reading. he complied.

after a little while you got up and searched around the hallway. after not finding anything, you closed the door carefully so it wouldn’t make any noise.

jae chuckled. “how did you know?” he asked in amusement “I didn’t hear her at all”.

“i miss you” your boyfriend said in a warm and loving tone.

“i miss you too” you answered in a whisper. it was true; ever since the quarantine started you haven’t been able to see each other in person, and even though he made sure to text you good morning every day and facetime you every night, you still missed him.
