She’s the brightest thing at the Daily Planet. Easy smiles, warm laughter, and a light Clark Kent found himself drawn to a little too often. Like they say - a month to flame. Somewhere between shared coffees and late night deadlines, their friendship begins to blur into something sweeter. Something neither of them quite knew how to name.

And while Clark steps closer, she holds herself back. Convinced that some things, especially one like Clark Kent, weren’t really hers to keep. Clark doesn’t understand the distance she creates, and she doesn’t understand how he could ever choose her. And still, in every quiet moment, soft touches, and lingering glances between them, they fall a little further.

“You’re in a good mood.”

“I saw y/n before the shift started.”

“Well that explains it.”

authors note ! hi everyone, welcome to my new short series, Softly Yours. I’m very excited to start writing this! I haven’t written an actual story in years, so this will be a fun little thing I’ll try to pick up again.

My classes end on April 27, and I have one final on May 4th, but after that, I plan on starting the series! I want to be able to focus on the final stretch of the semester before focusing on Clarkie.

I’m not sure if I want to do a tag-list for this story yet. Should I? Would you guys like to be tagged? I’m not sure, it’d probably be hard to keep up with the usernames if people do want to be tagged, but also.. this story isn’t just for me to have fun, but its for you guys. Let me know what you guys want!

I can’t wait to start this series! I will be fixing up my account and start adding things about me, what I write, who I write for, etc, so you guys can get to know me, all in my pin later on. But also don’t be afraid to send me messages or asks! I love interactions.
