The gather to meet the youngling
Have y'all ever seen that video of elephants in a sanctuary absolutely booking it across the enclosure to meet the New Baby, because
I love how they're clearly walking in formation until one of them sees the baby dragon and then they immediately all run over.
This makes my former lion dancer heart ACHE. I used to live for doing this type of little thing.
My favorite was to go up to little kids who seemed scared of us and bow down (I was the head) and nuzzle them so they’d be less afraid. It was so beautiful getting to see their reactions, each and every time. Parents loved it, and hearing them laugh and squeel while we chased them and would fake stumble over or sway and then plop down JUST to get them to smile was 100% the highlight of my night, every time, without fail.
I was a big, loud, and scary monster. I laid down my head to show you I wouldn’t hurt you, and you listened with such great joy.
