Translation Notes:
* Jûgoya (十五夜) is Japan’s traditional harvest moon celebration, when people enjoy viewing the full moon in autumn. It is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the traditional Japanese lunar calendar, usually in September or early October.
** Taki also labeled the moon and rabbit he drew as うさぎ (usagi / rabbit) and 月 (tsuki / moon).
*** Tsukimi (月見) means moon-viewing, and is similar to 花見 (hanami), when people go view the cherry blossoms in spring.
**** Dango (団子) is a type of round dumpling made from a mix of glutinous and regular rice flour, often served in sets of three or five on bamboo skewers.
***** The sound effects Maki wrote in next to the stacked plate of dango in the back translates loosely to "!!!!!!", and our translators believe it may be intentionally written to look like the same font for the same sound effect used in the manga for Jojo's Bizzare Adventure. In this context it isn't so much a sound as an intense background noise to hype up the idea of the subject (in this case, the dango). Think of it kind of like a drumroll.

&TEAM: The Witch of Yerasah
[Event Booklet Translation by &T(ranslation)EAM]
Hello everyone, we're &T(ranslation)EAM, a small group dedicated to scanning and translating &TEAM content! This is our first post since we formed a few weeks ago, and it is featuring a booklet that was handed out at the in-person Dark Moon event on March 3, 2026. It is not long, so we decided to put it into an image format for easy reading.
Because there are only 200 copies of this booklet out there, it is one of the few things that was not scanned, because doing so would have destroyed it. It has instead been photographed for our translators to work on, then made into images using a medium inspired by and evoking the original (though with some extra design flair to add visual pazazz!). The front and back covers were scanned, but the only images in the booklet had to be carefully photographed (albeit in less high quality than a scan would be) instead. These images have been added in at the end of the post.
Jesse, one of our translators, is the one who worked on this one, with Jaspin scanning, taking photos, and designing the visual format. Jesse will be commenting down below with translation notes. Please also feel free to ask questions, and we would be happy to answer as best as we can!
We hope you enjoy, and are looking forward to the official The Witch of Yerasah arc beginning this month!
Translation Notes:
I am absolutely nowhere near fluent in Japanese and I’m also not a translator. This is literally the first time I’m translating anything like this. Because of that, there’s likely nuance or context that I’m missing throughout, but I tried my best to keep it as faithful to the original Japanese as I possibly could while making it understandable in English. I will spare everyone the lecture on translation and little differences between Japanese and English that made this such a fun yet frustrating challenge (feel free to hit me up if you’re interested), but perfect translation is impossible and I apologize in advance for any mistakes there may be.
I did specifically want to make a note of the new names used in the story. Katakana is my Achilles’ heel, so I anticipate that my romanization of some of these words are horribly incorrect and I wanted to make it clear that I have 0 confidence in myself lmao. But here are some of the new names in katakana and romanized:
- ショロトル – Xolotl, as in the Xolotl Mercenary Corps, which is shown romanized in the glossary (thank goodness). The romaji for it would be Shorotoru, but I believe it’s supposed to be connected to Xolotl, an Aztec God.
- イェラサ – Yerasah, which is also written out for us in the title (yay).
- アイタフ – Aitaf, as in the Aitaf Allied Nations…which is where my confidence goes in the toilet. The romaji is Aitafu, and I have absolutely no idea where they’re going with this one. I will, in fact, scream if the official romanization uses a ph, just for the record. But, please anticipate that this name will likely appear different in any official translation in the future.
Also, back to my soap box about translation that I had fully intended on skipping over entirely, sooooo many things are lost in translation between any languages. There was just something super cute that I noticed and wanted to share. Japanese has specific counter words for certain objects. For example, 個 is the counter for small objects like balls or candies, 本 is the counter for long cylindrical objects like pencils or sticks, and 枚 is the counter for flat objects like papers or plastic bags. For people, like our characters in the story, we’d expect to see 人, which is the counter for people. Except, the author uses 匹, which is the counter for small or medium sized animals, like dogs or wolves. So instead of saying 3人 for 3 of our main characters, the author writes 3匹. Super cute detail that I just had to share so it didn't get lost into the translation void.
Notes From the Image Editor:
The amount of text on each page has been preserved from the original, with the same start and end points for each page. I tried my best to keep that aspect of the booklet intact while still making it pleasant to look at, but it does result in a lot of pages with wildly varying amounts of text. The only place where I did not do that was with the Glossary page near the end, since it would have been one definition per page. It made a lot more sense to condense that part.
As for the visual format, I took two of the images from the booklet, along with the frame from the front and back covers, and used those to design the pages. It was really boring otherwise, and I really wanted to make this first post of ours special. Please let me know if it strikes any of you as too busy, or if I could have improved it better, and I'll take that feedback with me moving forward!
I love this community, and I'm so glad we could start giving y'all our work!
Misc Notes:
It should be noted that this seems to be based off of the webnovel iteration of the storyline, as Khan had both an adoptive mother and adoptive father. No one on our team has read a format other than the webtoon, so if there are any glaring issues with how things were translated because of that missing context, we deeply apologize. Hopefully it did not affect anything, but it can be surprising how much context can change the words when you're translating. Any further Dark Moon material that we translate we will do after one or more of us has had a chance to read as many versions of the story as possible, so as to have full context, but we wanted to get this out as a celebration to herald the release of the official story arc that will be out this month!
Please be aware that both the team and Lei's Reddit usernames on the last text page have typos. Jaspin did this, and though they would like it known that they had been working for hours by that point, they have still sequestered themselves in the corner of woe for their error.
