Our little dragon goes squee!

This is a picture of Artemis when we first got her. Leopard geckos have a shy nature when it comes to their natural instincts, but she liked to stay out in the open.

Background: We are not proud of where we adopted Artemis, but we received her from a PetSmart. We didn't see any leos in the enclosure labeled as the leopard gecko tank. The employee working the back ensured us that they were there, and that they were just hiding. To our great surprise, they were not in the singular hide placed in the five gallon, they were behind it, ten to twelve leos stacked against the glass. I think that Artemis had to adjust to the idea of using a hide because of this. They hid behind the hide, I'm assuming, because they had the hide removed from the enclosure so other customers could view them and this scared the babies to death. She mostly stuck around the water dish and would bite if you tried to take it from her when we re-housed her to a better setup.
