How far do you think humanity will go?

This question has been wondering around my mind for as long as I dreamed. Idk abt you but I believe in mankind. I've always been a very optimistic guy and I believe that we can all advance, surpass, and evolve as a society through science. It's just how I am. My love for humanity is why I wanna become the greatest scientist of all time. I don't want this just for the cool title, I dream of it because I wanna help humanity grow. I want to achieve the greatest achievements of the day, not because I want people to make a statue of me and praise me as "The greates scientist in history" or sm bullshit like that, I want this because I want people to achieve greater accomplishments and reach higher places than my accomplishments, using whatever I discover to discover more, using my victories as a baseplate. My life as a stepping stone for everyone's. I wanna do the best I can because I want mankind to reach places that were only dreamed. And I believe that, no matter what you want to become, for as long as you believe you're gonna be the best, you will.

I never really opened up to anyone about this bc it's probably a lil corny, but I genuinely want to talk to someone about this. I know my dream is childish. And I know that I will never be the greatest scientist in history, nobody will, you know why? Because you reaching higher places only opens up more of the sky for the rest. You will never be the "Greatest Scientist of all time", because now or later, someone will surpass what you achieved, and somebody else will surpass them. That's the beauty in humanity's curiosity, their will to discover more. It leads us places.
