I’ve always called you by that name…You probably didn’t realize it, but I do. I realize Steve is still gone but he’ll come back..hopefully. And with Pepper I had her go out and get me parts for a surprise project. One i’m sure you’ll love. Peter it doesn’t hurt to have extra clothes! And I claim bullshit on the spider’s getting into the house. You know I hate them. 

"Not that I can recall of at all. And I've never heard it anyways. So no. I do realize it. You've never called me Petey. Hopefully? You don't even know if my father is coming back? That's just great. She didn't say anything about a project, but if you say so. I'll be the judge of that though. Can't go off everything you say. You claim bullshit on that? That's awesome. It's the truth though."

I’ve called you Petey since you were a baby, It was your Father’s idea. Now, Pepper isn’t in town so you’ll have to go with me. Now listen to your daddy and going shopping with me, we’ll get you new threads too…by the way…Why do I keep finding spiderweb on your shirts? 

"A. I don't remember you ever calling me Petey since...before today. B. My other father isn't here. and C. Pepper was in town like ten minutes ago. Don't know why she left so quickly. I don't really need new threads though. I don't know. Maybe spiders are starting to build webs on my shirts for no apparent reason."

"Well, I’m right here, can’t really account for anyone else," 

"That is obvious. N-Not like you could just disappear."

Petey, my lovechild, tomorrow you and I are going shopping. The new prototype ruined my favorite pair of jeans. 

"Since when did you start calling me both of those names? And why do I have to go? Can't you get Pepper to go with you?"

"Of course I do." He said quietly, his eyes dropping. "You must understand. When my humanity is unvoluntarily shut off I become… a monster. Anything… Everything I said and did was not me." He sighed. "It was in a sense, but… it wasn’t… Does that make sense?" He asked, watching as the other moved away from him.

There wasn't anything for him to say to all of this. It was so...odd. He didn't know what to do really. His gaze remained fixated on the ground, listening to the other talk. It was like he was living in some fantasy. He only wished it was that easy. It was in a sense. Hesitantly bringing his attention back up to the other, he nodded slowly.

Jak tilted his head to the side, taking a step closer to the boy. “Pete…” He said quietly, his brows knitting together. “You have to understand what happened before you wish for me to leave.” He said calmly, his eyes softening as he looked over him.

Peter stumbled back a step, trying his best to avoid the other for the time being. "S-stay away." He didn't really know what to do. He was...terrified. "D..d-do you c-care to e-explain? B-because I-I really d-don't kn-know if I can t-trust you." Last time wasn't an encounter he wanted to remember but did. He wanted to forget.
