This is my final personal brand. The CV front and back on the left, and my business card, front and back, on the right. I am very pleased with my outcomes and I think they reflect me quite well which was the aim.

This is my final cv. My business card is attached to the front via to slots. This is so that the person I give it to can keep the 2 together.

Based on the research I have already done, I looked further into drinks packaging that would be suitable for Bestival. There are a variety of different forms of packaging for drinks here. I also looked at ways to carry drinks if you buy more than one as this is often the case.

After the Skype call with JDO and the pin-up crit in class, I took on the advice that I had been given and begun looking into the actual name of the drink. I had my concept and a possible name but I knew, and they knew that I could do a lot better. I now have a brand that I am very proud of.

After receiving my disappointing cards from Moo, i have decided to get them printed again but with a different company. I had ordered a sample pack and I was very impressed with their luxury business cards however due to budget restrictions I chose to go with Moo. After I have received feedback from my tutor, I will send these off to be printed by Face Media Group.

I ask my peers for their opinions regularly because I value them and sometimes i need ideas and they are good at providing them. Here Emma is helping me decide which paper stock looks best for my CV.

Printing my CV after doing 6 test prints. i chose double sided A3 matte photo paper in the end, it looks quite good.

II got my portfolio professionally printed by Kallkwik. I paid quite a bit extra for this but it is worth it because i need to impress potential employers.

I took my tutors advice and wrote a complaint to Moo in order to get at least some of my money back because I paid for 50 but I can only use about 20 of them.

My CV was nearly complete so I went shopping for some paper to print on. They had a wide selection here and I bough a few different types just incase any of them go wrong.

We had a Skype meeting with Dan and Johnny from JDO to talk about our ideas for the Bestival brief. We sent the files over before hand so that they had a chance to look at them. This was a great opportunity and I wanted to make the most of it. I interacted in conversation with them and I was able to ask questions. They gave me some really useful feedback on what I had so far so I was able to go further. Straight after the talk I went back to work to work on the ideas that they had just recommended, while they were still fresh in my head.

On our table we all help each other out. It has given us a sense of what it would be like to work in the industry. We can bounce ideas off each other and help each other when we are stuck. If one of us is away, then we call or skype them to make sure that they don’t fall behind.

These are obviously more expensive drinks because they are locked up and on display. It is interesting to see how  the difference in packaging and display reflects the cost of the item.

I know the drinks that we are designing won’t be sold in bulk yet but I still found it interesting looking at how these are packaged. The top image is a gift set, I think that is a really nice idea.

One of the first tasks that we did to start of the JDO project was working in groups to try and gain an understanding of bestival and what it is all about. Each group researched different aspects. My group researched packaging and competitors. I found it very interesting looking into current packaging.
